12/10/05 ~ Anyone else cruising.....??

Hi All,

I was wondering where I can find some tips on making the door magnets for the ship, it sounds like a fun idea but I can't find any tips.

Thanks,

Deidre

To address those of you who think I watch the numbering of posts.......I really have no idea what you're talking about.......................................
Must go to church now and pray for John. :teeth:

I'm gone for over 8 hours and nothing? WOW. In the Live from 10/29 thread, they have some descriptions of the new spa villas for either one or two people.....they sound awesome, but expensive....Still may think about doing one villa treatment.

Thanks for the link Jordan,

I started with the pictures and stuff and now DH is into it too

Anyway, we went to the movies today and I noticed that the new Harry Potter comes out November 18th, any chance that will be playing on our cruise or should I take the kids before the cruise??

Have a great night and I hope everyone has a

HAPPY HALLOWE'EN

Diedre, I don't think you will be seeing the new Harry Potter on the DCL. It's not a Disney Production and most movies shown are Disney. They occasionally show movies other than Disney ones, but usually after they are out for awhile.

Ducks WIN AGAIN. We're over .500 which is nice.

Thanks for the prayers Jordan, I need all the help I can get!

John

Let the countdown begin. Not that I haven't been keep track already. I have started a mental checklist with a printed one not far behind. I have all my paperwork in one file already (e-ticket, info, birth certificate, land portion itinerary).

Next on my list of things to do: buy sundries and pack my toiletries bag up.
I also need to check on my budget. I am planning on 1500 for the cruise portion of the trip not including tips. Is that enough?

We are firming up our excursions. My cousin is planning on the St John island tour as it something that we all can do. Our party consists of a 5 month old, a 3 1/2 year old, 2-30 somethings, 1-43 year old; 2-60 somethings and 2-70 somethings. On St Maarten, it is definitely a beach. Is there one that someone can recommend? We would like one that is somewhat close to the ship. We will probably go on our own to give us more flexibility.

Hi all! We're back!

Happy Halloween! Today is DD's 3rd birthday! We will be trick or treating tonight....:)

The GATORS WON!!! WHOOOO HOOO!!!!!!

What did I miss?

The trip was great! Weather was awesome...saw the headless horseman, had a really great time! We just got back from trick or treating and now ordered a pizza for DD!! :)

Vanessa, you missed post 1300. John not Jordan this time. :teeth:
Angie, I still don't know what you're talking about..........................

Well I am off to our church's Harvest Festival. I am doing some sort of game booth, I think. They just told me to show up at 5pm..Oh, I guess I am going to be a little late.

Hi everyone, I'm back. We got back from Albuquerque this afternoon. We had a fun weekend with my brother and family. Late Saturday night my brother remembered that my nephew(he is almost 10) hadn't made his picks for the games this week. The kids were already in bed so he had me do the picks for him. I think that I was only wrong on one game out of 7 ( I don't know about tonights game yet). I thought that was pretty good since I don't really watch football unless it is the Broncos and then only sometimes.

Okay, now that I don't have any trips planned before the big one, I can start packing, right? ;) Actually I probably will start getting things like the swimsuits and toiletries together. And after tonight I can get the costumes packed too. My sister in law gave me my nephew's pirate costume from last year for Jacob. Jacob had one from last year too, but it was getting a little snug on him. Garrett's old costume fits him much better. I will have to cut off a little on the legs though. Jacob is just such a little guy. :)

Well, the kids are both wiped out. I can't believe we stayed out as long as we did...over an hour. DD insisted that she not wear a shirt under her costume & her arms were like ice when we turned for home...so I ended up freezing and gave her my jacket. They both filled up their pumpkins. We ended up taking the neighbor kids with us & they all had alot of fun together. DD kept telling the boy in her class that she is going to marry him. LOL! :) Here is a shot of the two of them all dressed up.

We spent the weekend up in Norfolk visiting DH. We went to Nauticus where DS petted a nurse shark and did lots of other stuff. We also walked all over downtown & visited with my sister & her family.

WOW! Just checked out the countdown & it looks like I had better get moving! I have a box of things for the trip packed up already but nothing major. Since one of our big bags was messed up on a plane trip that DH took a couple months ago, I will need to replace it in the next couple weeks. The summer stuff can definitely be packed up now so I can go thru that too. Why I felt the need to redo the curtains in the living room & dining room while DH is gone...I have no idea. LOL! I also need to sew together the girl's pirate skirts. I pinned one together & it looks really cute. :)

Thanks! John, DD wants your DD to know that she has not cut her hair. :) It was tucked under using pony tails & clips for her Snow White look.

Lisa - the kids look great! Samantha wore her Snow White costume to school yesterday but was Tinkerbell by nightfall! It was 80 degrees here so no worries about bare skin! John dressed up as Jack Sparrow around the neighborhood! Haley was Belle and me, well this was the first year I didn't put on a costume to TOT...I was just a "mom". :)

We had fun though....not too many TOT's to our house but we had pizza, candy and cake for dinner! :) What a combination! Luckily not too much of any so DD didn't have an upset tummy.

I have decided to cancel our WDW Thanksgiving trip, I think it is just too much and right before the cruise too...I called yesterday to cancel and was hung up on...so I will try back today. Our room is fully paid for so that will be a nice chunk of change back for cruising money!

This weekend I am going to try and start getting our stuff packed up....like the costumes....and toiletries! :)
