12/09/06 Geeks.... Lost, but not forgotten

Love the card John.

The girls get their filled stocking at the bottom of their beds, but this year they are all in Sarah's room. Dina and Amanda have a little stocking with two pieces of "coal" to wake up to.

They haven't been the best lately and the scare should only last seconds as they run into big sis's room...

I wish that we had had some coal for the kids. The gifts were on the opposite side of the tree so they probably did wonder if the pickings were lean this year. Thankfully they have behaved well today. Yesterday I was ready to have them cart all of the packages to the trailer park down the road.

It didn't work so well with the stockings. I guess they were wondering where they were when they woke up, but they didn't see the little stocking hanging on the bunkbed ladder with the coal in it...

They found their's when the went into Sarah's room and didn't get the coal until I told Sarah to "find" it for them.

I did another trick on them also. The majority of the gifts are from Mom and Dad. Well, I didn't put their names on them, just a ? Boy were they confused! The trick lied in the present hanging on the tree that DID have their name on it. Too bad Sarah figured it out very easily. Each one had a specific tag on their gifts so once they figured it out, they sorted them very quickly.

And Lisa, although that were pretty good most of the day, Amanda came close to getting everything shipped out the door!

That is a good way to do things, C. I used to wrap the kids' gifts in different paper so they didn't have to take the time to read any tags. LOL!

Oh you don't know Brack! Anyone sticking to 2 kids is very smart! That middle child thing... It's not really that she is bad per se. I just can't teach her (and Dina for that matter. Sarah is fine) To be helpful, appreciative, a lot less whiney, to stop begging... At least she's fine with most other people. I am at my last rope feeling very unappreciated around here. Sarah is a dream teenager thus far, but when it's Amanda's turn I am getting a long contract with DCL!
