3 days until trip to camp
6 days until Halloween
7 days until my flu shot
9 days until Trans Siberian Orchestra concert (Charleston, WV)
31 days until Thanksgiving
47 days until we set foot on the Magic

There are so many trips in the middle of those to places like Parkersburg, Martinsburg and Charleston, WV. Also, to Salisbury and Cambridge, MD. Not to mention various Christmas parties for work. I'll need some therapy by the end of the next 47 days!

We just watched the worst Disney movie ever. I got "The Wild" from Netflix. It had the same story line as "Madagascar," except is wasn't funny! My DH and I both thought it tanked. It did not hold my DS's attention at all! What a disappointment!

I was VERY disappointed in The Wild!

I've got to work some today. Talk to you later. :surfweb:

Well, we started watching Madagascar and turned it off - it got old
REAL quick. The only part that was remotely funny, was the the monkey thing dancing and singing, "we like to move it, move it..."Hilarious.

Other than that....it was turned off. Thanks for the warning about the Wild...as soon as I saw the previews, I thought..."here we go again..."

"We like to move it, move it..."

I haven't even got any goodies for her classmates either.....I know they are walking to the hospital to TOT on Tuesday...so they will have plenty of sugar...I should ask the teacher which day is better for cake.

I have a reallly funy story to tell you all and I can't believe I haven't shared this until now....

When we went on our very first Disney cruise, we went to Grills the night before our cruise....well, we sat beside this table of 4 elderly people (2 couples). At the end of the meal, they asked us if we were locals or visiting...we explained we were going on a cruise and were very excited. Both couples lived at Cocoa Beach in some condos down the road.

Somehow ---- can't remember all the details ----- this one couple said - oh - we'll wave to you tomorrow night when you're pulling out. That lead to them saying, "Hey - we should make a sign so you can see us." Somethinkg along the lines of "wouldn't your boys be surprised to see their names on a sign" etc.

Well, they told us what to look for (3 story high white condo building...their condo was on the corner ... top floor, etc. Got our names...etc.

We said - okay - we've got our binoculars...we'll check you guys out.

To this day - I don't know if I really saw the sign or not....but I swear that as I was scanning the beach area as we were pulling out, I saw the sign.

Well, when we got home from our cruise...there was this huge white sheet that had been painted in black "Bon Voyage Eric and Adam ". This too sweet elderly couple had painted, hung, and then sent us this awesome sign/sheet.

I found it the other day when I was getting out our cruise stuff. I still have their names. We sent them this martini set as a little thank you b/c they said they would be on their balcony with the sign.

Finding the sign/sheet reminded me of all the magic that is in store for all of us.

It truly was a magical time!!!

of course I am a Publix gal (sorry John1 and John2), they originated in Lakeland and I love them. I am not sure how far past GA they have gone.....To me the cakes are pretty reasonable. The princess and bear - I've never paid over $30 for. I think that's cheap since there is quite a bit of work to them. The princess one, since it's "Disney" they cannot make it into Halloween or any other colors. The bear they do for every occasion! The kids seem to really like them. I think all the girls in Samantha's class have always had the castle cake!

Karen - what a great story! That is very cool!!

So are all of us getting to the port going to cause a traffic jam? I still am not getting what Lisa is talking about. If someone could break it down for me exactly what DH should do.

Hey Karen,

You know Bruesters ice cream cakes are to die for... They have a layer of cake on the bottom (vanilla, choc, or marble) and then the top layer is whatever ice cream you want (i got the b-day party cake kind)

My cake was the round kind with the half ice cream cones around the sides... You can get "toppings" for the icing cones (cherries, sprinkles, chocolate, caramel) too.

And if you have a cold stone creamery don't forget to register ahead of time for your free love it creation. (log onto their website and hit birthday club).

I am still a little confused on that to Vanessa. From what I was told by another DISer, I am to go to where the shuttle drops people off and that it is outside the gate. I am not to get into the car line for dropping off and parking. Dh will drop me off outside the gate where there will porters to take the luggage. Then me and DDs can walk to the line to get into the terminal while DH takes the car back to the hotel and gets the shuttle back where he will meet up with us.

I am just unsure of where the shuttle drop off is since I have always driven and parked. But if I can get away with parking for free at the hotel, I'm all for it. It won't be as nice when we get back and have to go back to the hotel to pick up the van, but we usually aren't in any rush so it should be fine.
