Thanks for listening to me whine last night - and I have great news!! I found the work mistake, and it wasn't a human error either!! Whoo hooo!!!

Happy Saturday....football day. We are on a bye - which I am sure is desperatly needed after that horrific loss....and did anyone see that Auburn is being fined for excessively LOUD music played during our 3rd downs? Not much, but also the SEC issued them a warning!


Ok - back to bed for me!

DIS'ing from WORK on a SATURDAY - YUCK!

Nope it is a Peoplesoft program error. I have several accounts that have been off this month. (no I am not proud......) Most are not material amounts though. I haven't been able to really reconcile anything yet as our ledger is still open due to year end. They are actually doing a "close" right now. Something happened to the balance forward on several accounts - I happened to show John last month's and this month's (after keeping him up with me fretting about all this) and he says, look those two numbers are different - DOH!. But it is very very strange. I would think it would effect all accounts across the board, or even be limited to expense or something, but IDK. Our techie people can figure it out!

We recently upgraded to version 8.0 which also does something weird with voids. If I void a check say today...in Peoplesoft it voids it in the month that is was originally cut. Which in turn throws off all outstanding check lists. Peoplesoft claims the report is functioning as intended. But it was not that way in the previous version we had. We had to write a query to be able to put out correct O/S lists.

It's like a party in here. I think I must be the only one who wasn't planning on coming in here today. My boss is actually buying everyone lunch he says, too bad I can't stay, my girls are already wrecking my office.

Ok - sorry for all that. I try to keep my work and my DIS seperate!

I'm sure John already posted this but the school that Sophia goes to gets recess after lunch and PE twice a week. The school system also just received the highest rating by the state based on testing. So schools can do both they just have to work at it!

Unfortunately not all school districts have boards who are willing to work as hard as some. John1 and Amy, ever thought of moving to Oregon. There's a trial leading out here and everything!

My BF moved to Southern California this year and said her kids school did the no birthday treats thing also. The teachers are not allowed to give any sugary treats and they are very health conscious at the school.

I'm so glad I was a kid back when it was fun! We ran on blacktop, I have a tiny scar on my knee to prove it but did survive the experience.

Strange day here yesterday.


Couldn't get out of our driveway yesterday morning for a while because a huge tree limb came down and blocked the road. After some pushing/pulling, finally got it over to the side far enough that I could drive out.


Went to Best Buy to try to find out what's taking so doggone long to fix my laptop. Turns out, they've "temporarily misplaced it" in their repair facility. Apologies all around, they're trying to "find" it, if they don't, I get a new laptop. And they volunteered to refund the price of my 3-year Platinum service plan because of all the problems.


Things are looking up........decide to get my COSTCO "fix", spend some time shopping, head to check out and notice the Tanzanite stone in a ring I wear off/on was gone. Retraced my steps in the store.....nothing. Don't know if I lost it moving the limb in the a.m., or in Best Buy or where. Realize it's probably gone forever.


Come home and find out that DH got the from his $$ partner to go ahead and start his company. (A new ring just might be in someone's future?!)


DH and the boys leave to see a movie, I head over to the Library giddy with excitement over getting to join in on chat......only to find it's closed!


Too many ups/downs for one day!

ugh - bad thing about kids going to bed early...they also get up early! I had pretty much NO sleep last night. I am freaky about work, especially if my name is attached to it. I can't take all the credit for my find, DH actually found it. It was something so flipping simple I feel ridiculous!

It's gorgeous out so I hope to have fun in the sun today but need to break out the woolies, the low tonight is supposed to be 70!!! WOW!

You're not going to get much sympathy from anyone else. Our high today will probably not reach 70!

Having said that though it is a beautiful fall day here in the northeast. The trees are about half bare now but there are a few of the bright red trees with a lot of leaves on them. The mums are really bright and full now also. It's not a bad day at all!
