DH and I took a dance class at the university when we were engaged. We both got mono and had to drop out. I wonder how we both got mono :confused3

I could never get into Friends either. Seemed silly to me.

Friends was like most sitcoms to me. I liked to catch them in syndication. Same with Designing Women, Everybody Loves Raymond, etc. I think it might have to do with lack of patience on my part, or lack of time, and I could catch a whole season in a few weeks! :teeth:

I actually don't like Boston Legal...more to do with the actors than the show...but I turned it on while looking around and it was a hoot tonight! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
That is the one show that my DH and I both love! We sit and laugh every week!

My firendly Disney-loving-Librarian's here tonight. She said they were thinking of putting one of those red velvet rope stanchions in front of "my" computer terminal/seat. :lmao: :lmao:

OMG!! You are gonna get banned before you know it. It's only a matter of time until her boss finds out and fires her too!! ;) Meanie Librarian when she catches a glimps of a dancing banana...

for those heading to Disney parks in the future,

"Disney announced today it is severing all connections with junk food.

Burger and chips will soon be off the menu at its theme parks worldwide. Film and cartoon characters will no longer be used to promote salty snacks and sugary drinks.

The move by such a powerful and influential company is being hailed as a major breakthrough in the battle against obesity among children.

Out will go products such as The Incredibles Pop Tarts and Winnie The Pooh biscuits. In could be Nemo mineral water and porridge courtesy of Goldilocks. Disneyland, Disney World in Florida and Disneyland Paris will serve up vegetables and fruit juice.

The firm is also ending its 10-year $1 billion deal with McDonald's to advertise on its happy meals.

Walt Disney Corporation has come under pressure-for years in Britain to follow the lead of the BBC in banning its children's programme characters from tie-ins with junk food.

Critics say Disney characters have driven the worst forms of pester power.

The company says that its change of policy means it will only lend its name to products that meet standards for healthy eating.

In its licensing deals from 2009 Disney will in most cases refuse to link its brand to foods that get more than 30 per cent of their calories from fat, over 10 per cent from saturated fat and in excess of 10 per cent from added sugar. "Sugar things like Lucky Charms and Sugar Frosted Flakes wouldn't make it. Cheerios and Rice Krispies would said James Hill, a child nutrition expert who worked with Disney in recent months as it planned the change in policy."

This is from the Daily Mail in Britian

That is very interesting. I wait to see how they pull off the no burgers and chips in the parks! I am proud of them severing ties with junk food. I am sure there are plenty of healthy foods in which they can tie their name.

Oops!!
You do like to forget those sweet girls...don't you?

I can't even imagine my DH doing Eliza's hair. It makes me laugh! The other week he changed her diaper during church and put her stockings back on. They were the kind with the ruffley butt. He had the ruffles in the front. When I asked him he said "What? I made sure to put them up front." Dads try...but they just don't get it.

He hates to have to pick an outfit out for her. He says that no matter what he picks it doesn't suit me!!!

Here is another of Phil Keaggy's music videos from his younger days. It shows his incredible skill on the guitar. You can also note that he is missing the middle finger on his right hand. Accident as a child. It makes his skill seem all the more incredible.

While I enjoyed the music immensely, I think you ned to come back on our side Brack...stay away from the light, the tube light that is!! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

So they aren't enforcing the time limit for you? LOL! Our library has a 30 minute limit.

If she is closing down the library I doubt there is anyone waiting to use it! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

One of my gifts for my niece's first birthday was some ruffle-butt tights. After my sister and I practically squeal with delight over ruffle-butt tights, my BIL looks at us and asks "Why do they have ruffles on the butt?" They just don't get it.

When we went in June 03, the lady in the barbershop did DD8's hair (she was 5 then). It was the very first thing we did on the first day of the trip. She trimmed it, then when she found out that it was DD's first trip ever to WDW, she said she had to do more. Put in a fancy braid and added lots of glitter. Then we took the train around to the Toontown area for the opening of that area and lots of pictures with no lines! It was the perfect opening to the vacation for just DD and me (and DS, sort of, I was 6 months pregnant!). Older DD and DH were spending the first day riding coasters at Universal so we could just have a special day for ourselves.

That sounds like such a perfect day for you to remember always!! Maybe she will pass it down someday.

Sounds like a great day John! At least Sophia didn't cut her hair off as my DD did when DH took care of them for a few days!

And yes, this is the same man I will again leave in charge when I leave earlier for our trip. But it's great to be the daddy of a daddy's girl!

First of all, thanks for clarifying the little tights thing. ;) What a day! There is one way to handle some of that though. It is known as "no." :thumbsup2 Of course, when a child learns how to melt "the look" it is rather futile.

But daddies don't HAVE to say no Lisa! Only us big bad mommies get to do that.
