Yes I am happy with it but it doesn't look to good right now. The kids have finally settled down so I can post about what happened this afternoon. I usually sit here looking out the window waiting for the kids to come around the corner at 3:05. It was starting to rain so I decided to go pick them up but didn't want to get my hair messed up....she curled it & all...so I jumped in the van & parked at the corner. The bus came ... and turned the corner. I second guessed myself about the number & then decided that I was right & wanted my kids so I followed it. When I looked down I was going almost 35 in a 25 to catch up to it. It just kept going. It stopped once and a little girl got off so I knew that it was the elementary school, not the jr high so I followed it to the next stop. When it did I jumped out of the car & ran up to the driver's window. She couldn't open it but I yelled that my kids didn't get off at their stop. She pulled over to the side of the road and I got on the bus to claim my kids. By this time it was pouring rain.

They were both in tears before we got off the bus.

On the way home they told me that the kids thought that the driver was taking them back to the school because so may kids didn't get off the bus at their stops. I didn't know that so I went to our friend's house to let her know that her DD was still on the bus. She called the school but they don't have a cell phone number for that bus. It was a sub driving.
Tonight is the PTO meeting and I am going to talk to the principal beforehand. There is no excuse for any of this happening today!
- The regular assistant was on the bus so she should have told the driver when she needed to stop if she was missing them.
- While I appreciate that she was probably telling me to get on the bus due to the pouring rain, the driver should NEVER let anyone on the bus who is not authorized. Since the assistant knows me from school, IDK if they would have just handed over the kids without being able to verify that they were suppose to go with me. What if there were custody issues?
The bus isn't finished until after 4 so those poor kids who were suppose to get off at the first 5 stops ended up staying on the bus alot longer than they should have and many parents were probably very worried. I have explained this to the kids now and they know that I would be on the phone with the school if they are not home by 3:10 so noone would need to call me when they got back to the school. OY! I swear! What is it lately? You couldn't write all of this if you tried
