Wasn't that sweet?? I saw a little of the show and as wonderful as it was, I can't imagine trying to make rational decisions after being hit with such an emotional surprise. Did they finish her game? I am wondering how she ended up. I saw part of another one last night too where the gal took the deal for like $100k or something, when in fact she had picked the $1mil suitcase. WOWSA!! I could never play that game because I would never take the deal. I always am genuinely surprised when I don't win the lottery.

The first girl took the 182K & was kicking herself because she had the 1million. The second girl didn't finish her game. I don't think that she could have continued. Even her DH was in tears by the time they brought her mom up on the stage. She will finish next week.

Yes I am happy with it but it doesn't look to good right now. The kids have finally settled down so I can post about what happened this afternoon. I usually sit here looking out the window waiting for the kids to come around the corner at 3:05. It was starting to rain so I decided to go pick them up but didn't want to get my hair messed up....she curled it & all...so I jumped in the van & parked at the corner. The bus came ... and turned the corner. I second guessed myself about the number & then decided that I was right & wanted my kids so I followed it. When I looked down I was going almost 35 in a 25 to catch up to it. It just kept going. It stopped once and a little girl got off so I knew that it was the elementary school, not the jr high so I followed it to the next stop. When it did I jumped out of the car & ran up to the driver's window. She couldn't open it but I yelled that my kids didn't get off at their stop. She pulled over to the side of the road and I got on the bus to claim my kids. By this time it was pouring rain. :( They were both in tears before we got off the bus. :( On the way home they told me that the kids thought that the driver was taking them back to the school because so may kids didn't get off the bus at their stops. I didn't know that so I went to our friend's house to let her know that her DD was still on the bus. She called the school but they don't have a cell phone number for that bus. It was a sub driving.

Tonight is the PTO meeting and I am going to talk to the principal beforehand. There is no excuse for any of this happening today!
- The regular assistant was on the bus so she should have told the driver when she needed to stop if she was missing them.
- While I appreciate that she was probably telling me to get on the bus due to the pouring rain, the driver should NEVER let anyone on the bus who is not authorized. Since the assistant knows me from school, IDK if they would have just handed over the kids without being able to verify that they were suppose to go with me. What if there were custody issues?

The bus isn't finished until after 4 so those poor kids who were suppose to get off at the first 5 stops ended up staying on the bus alot longer than they should have and many parents were probably very worried. I have explained this to the kids now and they know that I would be on the phone with the school if they are not home by 3:10 so noone would need to call me when they got back to the school. OY! I swear! What is it lately? You couldn't write all of this if you tried

this is crazy!!! Hope you get them straightened out. Good thing you were out in your car.

Do ya'll realize we were half way down the first page?? What's up with that? :confused3 I'm heading out to the dentist to get my teeth cleaned. :teeth: Will check in after I get home.

No kidding. Can you imagine how much scarier it would've been had you been home waiting and your kids never showed up? That thought scares me to death.

Sorry to give it away Marielle...... i wasn't looking at exact roads and the IKEA locator map had it next to the words King of Prussia. And besides who want to have to type Conshohocken (Note i cut and pasted that one.)

It the new location any better than the old one...... (Was that Norristown exit i think)
The new location is bigger; the old one was next to the Plymouth Meeting mall and did not have enough parking (holiday season and back-to-school time was out of control!)
Yes, I live in a spelling challenge area: our immediate area is Lafayette Hill, Plymouth Meeting and Conshohocken. Add Philadelphia and the Schuylkill Expressway for bonus points!

Good luck with that...I hate having to wake up one of the kids!

Well, she woke up just fine. But when we got to dance class she cried when I was leaving and ended up taking a "rest" through part of class.

Hey, Brandi, you can make it to the Ikea in the Philly burbs in an hour or so, I bet. (And it's 5 minutes from my house, so we'll have lunch!!!)

There's one near my house next to the White Marsh Mall. Also, there is a Starbucks across the street. We can have a "double" mini meet!

I quickly caught up, now I have to run to a LL meeting. Tuesdays are getting harder and harder!!

Lisa, I think that is a great point to bring up! I think most bus drivers would pull over and let the kids out. I never even thought of that! But our disrtict will not let kids in grades pre-K thru 2nd get off the bus without and authorized person at the stop. Amanda's driver still honks the horn if I am not standing outside and waits to see someone open the door.

Gotta run again!!

Wonder what I am missing on Tuesday TV??

I will be watching Dancing with the stars and Boston Legal. The show at 9:30 - I can't remember the title that is on after Dancing is rather funny as well!

OK ok, for all those wondering about DD she does have pinkeye :crazy2: and she handled her first dose of eye drops fine (she didn't know what it was). It took so long to get the medication that she didn't take a nap. She is going to be tired tonight. She is in a preaty good mood but still looks a little weepy.

:grouphug: Sending well wishes to Allie. I had pink eye once as an adult and I hated it! It was awful for me so I can't imagine what she feels. :grouphug:
