We noticed Andy - I don't think it's really fair that these part-time DIS'ers who got all pumped up eating apple dumplings at Knoebel's get to steal the pirates out from under us more legitimate, regular posters.

should we vote on that?

OK guys....question here. Is it a John if you are posting to catch up and not just posting and talking to yourself????? :lmao: I didn't realize that I was practically alone here.

We got bad news on Friday about the new AG teacher. He will only be at our school one day a week. HTH is he suppose to have time to make a difference with each of the AG kids there in that amount of time.

In Es i was in the gifted program, we got to go to a special class one day a week (we were excused from our regular classes and stayed in the gifted class all day. Don't worry i didn't miss much.)

In middle school it was a better program. In HS nothing was offered.

Last year the AG teacher also ran the history club, newspaper, and chess club. Now noone is doing those. :(

WOW we had none of that stuff in ES.... DD doesn't have it at her MS either. All they have is a library reading group and the basketball team. (DD hates BB) So DD won't have any opportunities for Afterschool groups till HS.

He will also pretest on the spelling words on Tuesday (they get them on Friday) and then he will do different things like write a short story using the words (did that last year and enjoyed it) and making up a puzzle with the words for the class (word search or crossword puzzle.)

Devon has had to do stuff like that with vocab worbs since 2nd-3rd grade. Xwords or word searches or sentences or stories.... They had like ten activities to pick from and had to complete 5 of them each week. It was tough some weeks but she got it done. Sounds like your district is teaching things slower than they do in other areas.

DD has always had tons of homework so no extra work wanted/needed here.

Grande size why bother.... go for the venti!!!!!

I am a week behind on the posts and will try my best to chatch up. I feel so out of the loop....being behind really stinks :guilty:

Well, I need some help on this matter. I had my first dress fitting on Saturday, it was great, however, I found out the my slip (big poofy thing going under dress, not sure what it is really called) can not be put into a bag or squished. We are flying down and I will be bringing my dress on the plane, however, how the heck am I going to get this thing down there???????? :confused3 I was thinking of shipping it but Jennifer, the wedding coordinator said you can't ship it to thier offices and said to bring it on the plane. The ladys at the dress place said that if it gets squished that the measurments for the hemming will be off.....any ideas or suggestions?????

Sorry for being so behind, we have been getting ready for the shower this Saturday and on top of that, we ended up getting our new washer and dryer combo, so Paul decided to re-do the whole laundry room.......I can't complain though, I love the new unit and my clothes actually dry on time now instead of two hours :goodvibes

I agree about warm PB. I put it on toast once when I was younger and it was the nastiest thing ever. I still gag when I think of it.

I did....a few hours later when I saw it. pirate: Honestly I think that most just look for the 1000s now because there are so many 100s and they pass by so quickly.

I'll take what I can get... :thumbsup2

Jodie, I believe that it is called a krenlin? You could ship it to the warehouse & have it delivered to your room. Do this via FedEx so that insurance is on it...you can add insurance for anything over a $100 value at a VERY low cost...cents on the dollar. When you get to your room, give it to your stateroom host to have it pressed. IMO there is not going to be a place on the plane for you to put it without it being "squished.

Another option....you are staying at a resort before the cruise, right? Just ship it there & carry it onto the ship with you in the box and have it pressed. The cost of pressing is half of cleaning. IMO they should be able to handle something delicate like that if they can clean tuxes & formal evening gowns.

TRUST me on this one! The warm toast melts the chocolate frosting & the PB & they mix up like a warm reeses cup. :)

This also works well with fluff & PB on warm toast. ;)
