We went through this in 1995 when the Indians made the World Series after an almost 50 year draught. Poor Alex was only 9 when they lost to the Braves in that series. Much too young to have to console his sobbing father.

The Braves were not even IN Atlanta until 1966 - so don't go telling me about suffering. I had already suffered 6 years of lame baseball when I was in first grade and you guys got a team. They won a series in 1957 in Milwaukee - NINE years after the Indians won their last series.

And since Boston won a series recently, I think those of us in NE Ohio know a lot more about dismal teams and Championship draught.

Cubs fans have a lot to feel bad about too, but at least they are the "loveable losers". We have just been the losers.

I knew as soon as Patsy made her post that John had to respond!! And, sorry to my sewing buddy Patsy, but Braves fans have nothing to complain about. That franchise has been in the running for about 15 years straight now.
Oh... were you wondering if this Pirates fan is still bitter about 1991 and 1992? Me, bitter? When Bonds couldn't throw the ball in from the outfield to get the out against the Braves' Sid Bream, who could barely hobble around the bases? Would I still be bitter about that? Umm. yeah.
(And, yes, John. I have nothing to complain about since at least I have childhood championships to remember.)

I just got off of the phone with my DC. She said they got some of the cat info back...it did not have rabbies. They are doing more testing because they still do not know what it did have.

She said the swelling is down a bit from yesterday. The infection lines are still to her elbow and a bit past but they are not as bright red as yesterday. The DR. does his rounds after he is done at the office. So he won't see her until after 4. She is hoping that it looks better by then so she can avoid the possible surgery. She said she just wants to go home. Thank you for the prayers. They have been working.

Yes Marielle, you have some great Pirates teams and players to be proud of . . .

And don't any of you think you can go talking football or basketball. The Browns with all their old NFL Championships have NEVER even been to a Superbowl, and the Cavs have never been to an NBA championship.

This is a luckless area for sports fans. All the glory happened before I was born.

Well that is good but I don't plan to eat it! I wonder how many points are in a cup of purple Tide?

I like most of the Downy Pleasures line - they smell delish!

Last time at the store there was expressions Gain I think that smelled great and yes I do stand in the aisle and uncap the detergents to smell, same with shampoos.
