I should look at the knoebels site myself...I have been there so many times I never looked at the site. There are alot of trees there and it is almost all gravel. The park isn't paved. The kids always get filthy but we have always had a great day. That is where we have our family reunion. Before we had kids my DH and I rode our motorcycle everywhere. We would ride to that park several times every summer.

Sorry I missed chat!!! We went to dinner and a movie with my BIL and SIL. We saw the guardian. I go to movies for the sheer enertainment value. I don't need to have some greater meaning. That being said, I loved it! I really enjoyed myself. I did think of you guys, but needed to spend some time with DH. You know that week we all had last week at work, and Karen's this week. He had it this week...

April, congratulations! I am actually really jealous, so good for you!

Lisa or other cc members, is there a library on board?

Going to the game and then DD's Ice skating marathon lesson today...

There used to be a small library on board where the ship simulator is now . . .

Does anyone know if they still have any type of library?

Cool Jill!

We got to see a shuttle launch on our very FIRST cruise!

It was awesome!

John1
I can't even imagine how awesome that would be.

I think they got rid of it completely...although I have been wrong before.

I don't think Knoebels is open this coming weekend. I was on their website and it isn't even showing that they are open.

Oh come on John!!!! DH just had his 6 month check this past week. He loves the fact that he is "good to go!!!"

You know, I don't even want to think about how you check that!

Bad enough you guys had to talk about the scissors, now you tell me they have to check to see if you are shooting blanks? No thank YOU!

It is still up in the air. DDs really want to go somewhere "overnight." They would have to miss gymnastics, but that may be good anyway with D's shoulder. It should be totally fine by then, but an extra week would be better. ;)
I just have to come up with why I picked this place (to tell DH, and it can't be for meeting crazy internet people!) so please give me some more info about what is there.... :confused3

I have to figure out where this park is, and how far from us it is . . . how far is it from P-Burgh? It takes us a little over an hour to get to there. Maybe not the time you guys are going, but I have heard so much about that park that I really would like to see it.

It looks like it is as far from Pittsburg as it is from me. A little over 200 miles.

I never really thought about that. Hum...that could be a bit of a nightmare if they are launching the day we are trying to get to the port.

Sorry to say I am not sure about this . . .

Our first cruise we rode the DCL bus - but remember, if it is a night launch, we will be arriving early in the morning at the terminal so it should not be bad. I do not remember the bus ride being any different kind of traffic.

They checked him 6 weeks after. Then they recheck 6 months later...to make sure nothing changed. Now he is totally free. He doesn't have to get checked again. How do you think they check!

I have to go and start supper. I will check back later. It is so cold and rainy here today. It was only 42 this morning. It is still in the low 50s! BRRrrrrrr.

Don't be sorry. I hope we get to see it launch...and I hope it isn't bad traffic wise.

It says it is 249 miles from Youngstown OH and 326 from Cleveland.

Cool! They have a brass ring carousel! The one In Ocean City, Nj stopped doing this awhile ago.

One thing you have to remember, we sail at 5:30 and the launch that time I think was around 7:30 - so we were not RIGHT there. But we did get to see it very clearly from deck 10 as it took off North of us, as we were sailing down the coast.

Does it have anything to do with tire pressure?

So probably 5-6 hours from us . . . that would be quite a haul. We would have to find somewhere to stay if we ever decided to do that.

John1

Hey PJ! The Knoebels park is only 200 miles from Toronto!!

Sorry, looks like it's wrong...
