Hi Everybody. We booked this cruise when onboard in 12/04 but I just started looking at the boards.

My husband and I (age 41/42) will be cruising with our 6 year old daughter (first grade). Do any of you have girls that age that will be onboard?

This reminds me of something DS said about 9 months ago when he found a golf ball. We don't play golf so it is not something he was familiar with. He was just playing with it in the living room and we didn't think anything of it. He then gets up, hands me the golf ball and says, "Here - hold my Epcot".

Hi and Shelley and family. I have 3 DDs and one will have just turned 8 by cruise time. She is in the 2nd grade. She will be in the Lab though while your DD will be in the Club. Believe me, there are LOTS of little girls in the Club your DD's age.

As Patsy mentioned we are a bit of a crazy group but we promise to try to be on our best behavior for the next hour or so until you feel more comfortable!

There seem to be a lot of 6 year old girls on this particular cruise so your DD should fit right in. My kids are younger than that but we are all looking forward to having a great time!

Feel free to join in the fun here on our crazy thread as much or as little as you would like. Just remember in case anyone asks that Amy (waltsgirl) and I are the shy ones.

I forgot to mention something else from last night at DD's school. I mentioned that her band teacher said have fun and her science teacher said to have fun and that he doesn't give homework while on vacation. But I also went into the office to talk with the vice principle. She was a my class advisor when I was in High School. I asked her what the procedure was for going on a vacation and she said to just send in a note before we go so the teachers could get any work together. She said it is supposed to be 2 weeks before, but the closer to vacation the better so the teachers have a better grip on what they will be doing then. The only thing I know she will have to do is an English project which I believe she may be able to knock out most of befehand. I was a bit worried because she is in JR High, but I think she will be just fine.

Glad I don't live somewhere that gives parents such a hard time like I have read.

Oh, yeah. She also said to have a great time! Since this is a summer resort area, the teachers are very used to kids going on vacation during school.

that scared her? Unfortunately it would not be the first person we scared off. I am still impressed that Jodie not only stuck around but has practically made us co-wedding planners!

I got through some of the shows I have taped. BB finale (boring, probably due to knowing the winner,etc), Survivor (boring), and the beginning of GA.
I'll wait to watch Amazing Race for when the kids get home so they can watch it too. Going to my mom's later, probably taking dinner with us there, then going to a Pampered Chef party. Haven't been to one in about 4 or 5 years so I gotta see what is new!

Since DH is taking a mental health day we are going to meet for lunch. I don't get to eat lunch with my DH very often. I wonder where we should go?

Forget lunch...just go and price something!
