I don't like the shoot em up games either - but don't play games much now that DS is all grown and off at college. I never was that great at video games anyway. My favorite games are games like Scrabble, and Trivial pursuit. DW does NOT like games, so I always have to wait for DS to play with me when he is home. I also like card games.

DW and I do not play games together because I am too competitive. I also play by the rules and will call someone on them. So, DW gets mad at me because she just wants to play for fun. I play to WIN. So we stay away from games. DS and I are both the same - but we respect each other as worthy opponents. These days I only beat him on about 1 out of 5 scrabble games, and the tables turn on trivial pursuit. Since I have had a lot more time to compile useless information.

My family is a huge card playing group I grew up playing gin with my grandfather and hearts with my great uncle. Everything with my dad. Grandpa and Great Uncle were nationally ranked gin and bridge players during thier hayday. Well they all just assumed that everyone was like that and on a fishing trip, asked DH to join them in hearts. Well DH had never played cards and had no idea what he was doing. He did not want to feel stupid since everyone just assumed he knew what he was doing so he just threw cards down at random. Everyone thought he was doing so well.... He does not like to play cards with me.

PJ - I think most rules are the same - except field (I think it is width - not length) - and you guys use 12 instead of 11 guys on the field - LOL.

Most people really think of it as only 3 downs, as most of the time, teams punt on 4th down.

After the touchdown it is the extra point - not the field goal.

The snap is once the center relays the ball to the placeholder.

PJ, I can see we are going to have to spend some time in Diversions on Sunday . . . Jordan and I went there last cruise for the games.
