John - would you dress like a banana and dance at the sail away party?

Thank goodness you all gave me a break this morning. Only about 5 pages.

Love all those other bananas, and you all obviously do NOT know who you are dealing with. Unfortunately, Amy does, and I just have this feeling that if I even consider trying this, she will leave me at the pier- or maybe throw me off the pier (do bananas float?)

That costume IS a riot though, and the mental picture of all of us there in lime and a banana suit to boot is REALLY tempting my wacked sense of humor. It would make an interesting embarkation photo op.

Morning, Everyone!!

I'm still here and enjoying all the posts, but I'm feeling guilty that I'm not posting much because I'm having a hard time keeping up with the posts!! LOL (and also being new, not 'knowing' everyone, I feel like I'm crashing a party). We were away for the weekend (took the jeep up to Paragon, PA :drive: with some other jeepers) and there were like 80 pages of posts to catch up on! I have been skipping around reading, but still haven't caught them all. Sorry!!

Anyway...wanted to pipe in...another band geek here! Marching, Pep, Concert, State, etc...flute/piccolo and one year also got to play the bells during the drum feature. LOVED band and band CAMP!!!! :bounce:

All the banana talk is cracking me up.

I've been showing my son (Kendell age 7) some of the new friends he'll meet on the cruise. He will be the youngest of our group and the only one in that age group in the kids club. I don't know if they would let him move up with the other kids because he won't be 8 until 4 months after the cruise. Maybe some of us with boys that age could email and he would be more comfortable about it (new experiences are sometimes hard for him if he's 'alone').

I was thinking that we would skip Palo - but everyone is making me think we should reconsider. Should I try to get a dinner ressie? or brunch? This is our 1st DCL cruise. :confused3 Thanks for advice.

DisneyVegas1 - can you tell me more about your jeep :drive: excursion on Cozumel? All of us in our group are 'jeepers'. We looked at the DCL excursion, but the age limit is 10+ for the kids, and many of the kids are 7-9.

Lisa - when is the ruins tour leaving on Costa Maya?

Snorkeling - should we plan to do this on CC days?

:thanks:
Diana

Yes, you certainly can ride with us and we can do a soda stop.

Thanks Angie! Lisa you are off the hook, sweetie. Now you just have to bring Sprite or maybe Orange pop for your floats, lol. Creamiscle floats, hmmm!

We were going to go to Sesame Place tomorrow, but with this heat, I don't want to melt, even in a pool. I am sure the place will be packed with everyone who doesn't come here to the shore. Ah, well, we will try for next week!

I am such a big wimp when it comes to the heat. I don't step foot outside unless I HAVE to. Well, I agreed to doing the National Night Out for Girl Scouts and it is tonight! I am NOT happy. :guilty: I'm going to have to sit in the heat to try and convince parents to become leaders if they want their daughters to find a troop. ANd I am doing the one in town so it will be hard enough to find parking, etc.

Learn to say no. Learn to say no. Learn to say no. Learn to say no. Learn to say no........

Hey! My bananas are dancing today! Wonder what got them moving?!?! :rotfl:

John, you could just be subtle and wear a yellow t-shirt. :teeth: It will be an inside joke.

Diana, they would probably let him go to the lab with his brother & friends. Now, they do split up that group into age groups too. 8-9 and 10-12. He would have to be with the 8-9 yos. Is there anyone in your group 8-9? Of course having him make friends before the cruise is a great idea too. It has worked for us every time. I need to get DS busy with the 8-9 group since he will be there on his own. One thing to do is have your DS7 look over the kid's activities for each age group and decide which ones he would be more interested in. He might enjoy the 5-7 more...who knows?

I was thinking that we would skip Palo - but everyone is making me think we should reconsider. Should I try to get a dinner ressie? or brunch? This is our 1st DCL cruise. :confused3 Thanks for advice.

You will be able to make resies at 75 days out...which means that most will be gone online. They hold 50% back for onboard booking. Just get to the terminal early & go right to RNBD to take care of that. ;) If you only do one, I suggest the brunch.

Lisa - when is the ruins tour leaving on Costa Maya?
We are being picked up at the port an hour after we dock...so 8:30. The tour will take 4 hours. We will also be stopping at the village school near the ruins to donate school supplies & clothing to the kids there so that will add a little bit of time to our tour. We should be back at the ship by 1:00 pm.

Snorkeling - should we plan to do this on CC days?

That would be the easiest way to get the snorkling in IMO.

DH got my car fixed last night. But I want to drive it a bit this morning before I take off to the big city to the disney store. ya. 10 more pages to read, not going to happen. I won't be back tell tomorrow night. I'll probly miss the 10,000 post also becouse we will be gone friday and all weekend.

Hi guys!

Boy... yes I did almost die i the heat... Six Flags was our primer to Disney... but it sure didn't do any justice.

ITS AMAZING... I log on today to see how everyone was doing and looks like most of you are still sleeping or at work...

YEA!! I only had to read through 3 pages...

Well HAVE A GREAT DAY, I'll be back in after 5pm

Elizabeth

Lisa- Yes, I should look at the activities - if I can just remember where I saw them...
Oh- and there are some 8/9's in our group, too. I'll try the activities review and go from there. I think the CM tour sounds wonderful.

Mum - gonna PM ya!!

So glad there's so many experienced DCL cruisers to help out with ???'s!!!

thanks! diana

Diana, the link to the navigators is in the FAQ thread near the top of the main forum. ;) It is a sticky thread maybe 3rd from the top.

We have 16 seats left on the bus for the CM tour as of today.

I guess that you could say that dealing with these kids inside while it is boiling the pavement outside is work. It's day like today when I wish that I could escape to an office.

Good for you! I promise I don't have "post" envy and I am not going to type 5 words over and over again so I can have more "posts".

Kim

I tried real hard to do all my homework before I posted, but I have to ask...

is post envy like dancing banana envy?

Dang , why does everyone make fun of my little count :confused3
...making fun of your "little count" is better than making fun of the alternative....

I'm sorry - I just had to do it....you guys try to read page after page of the dancing banana inuendo!!!

Hey Dodi! Are you going to link dining with us in late seating? :confused3 We are the "fun" kids. Or was that the "kool" kids? :teeth:

Hey wait a minute...us early diners are fun too!~

You guys are killing me with the heat!
