So you are leaving Monday?

Todd...they didn't do the dance contest with the pirate guys?

Nope sure didnt ....there was a lot of dancing but no contest , of course after the dancing was the show , fireworks and rolled right into the Trailer of DMC then they Played POTC , which by the way I have an interactive script that goes with POTC , us Disers in June did it , and it was a blast ...its kinda like a rocky horror picture thing ....If your interested ill post it here and you guys can read it and decide if this is something we should do ...that is unless they are now showing DMC after the fireworks now ....

I wanted to tell Goofyforlife that I have been through "Fredneck" several times lately. Each time I  . I go back to her town this Sunday to install the new pastors of that church. So I'll  again.

That would be cool. I love Rocky Horror. There's is a picture I have when the Dueling Pianos were on the Magic of me and some others doing the Time Warp in one of the clubs. Post it. Thanks. :thumbsup2

I saw the Grandeur of the Seas in port again today on my way to the office. She's not the Magic but she is going to sea. pirate:

Great idea Todd . . .
We have to think of a better idea than 30 camera shots for that photo - by number 29 our faces are sure to be frozen!

I have a pretty decent camera - Canon Digital Rebel xt SLR - and I am bringing my laptop (NOT for internet). If you all have digital cameras, I could load a copy on anyone's card on their camera with the laptop. We could also email copies around after the cruise. I would say I'd burn to CD, but I don't want to lug 30 CD's on the cruise.

Any other ideas????

John

John I work in a computer shop, I can get the disks at just over cost, 50 CD's should cost me under $15, HP CDRs. And I will also have my laptop with me. With a single copy I can burn half the copies of any pictures people want to load up. Maybe we can set of a time for uploaders to come see us say at one of the clubs on Friday afternoon, then we can split the burning duties. Think it over and refine the plan.

Maybe we can all just bring our laptops up to the Mickey Pool and infared the files to each other! That would be a sight! :thumbsup2

ps: I am being funny :rotfl2: but not making fun, :smooth:

Another idea - don't use things like snapfish much, but my .Mac account (Apple) has a service called a "photocast" . . . Just like a podcast, but for sharing photos.

I could upload everyone's favorite shots and create a photocast we could all subscribe to. (you can then download the photos on your own - and it can be passworded). Limit is 99 photos, but I think we could limit it if we only include photos of group interest.

Something to think about.

John

John I also have a .mac account and could do a part II photocast, giving us 198 pictures to share,

John, I could pack a firewire cable and we can share burning duties really easily then. :thumbsup2

I ordered the green Mickey shirts. The shirts were $7.98 but the shipping was $8.50! The pirates20 code didn't work. Must have had to spend more money. :confused3

I'm going to try a test of a photocast now just to see how it works - never done it before.

I am uploading about 90 photos I took from the shows on our last cruise. It is going very slooooow upstream - almost 300mb.

Going to go to bed and let it finish. We'll see how it works and I'll fill you guys in tomorrow.

John

I thought that we were going to have to cut our WDW vacation short in December after the cruise but we have it worked out. I really like WDW at Christmas. Mabye some of us can have our picture taken with Santa Mickey :thumbsup2

Penny - Great idea - firewire would hook us up.

Too bad we can't think of an automated way to feed CD's - that is what will take the time!

Will fill you in on the photocast - maybe you can help me understand how our Mac challenged (read PC) friends can utilize it. I'm a little behind on understanding how RSS feeds work in the Windoze world.

I do have this machine dual boot though, with xp on a 15 gb partition. I could see what most of the world would have to go through that way. Too bad they don't have iPhoto!

John

Hey - only 8 more to 7000!

Let's get there while Lisa is away and before I go to bed.

Where are the rest of the "left coasters"?

C'mon, did you all leave because I said I was going to bed????

Im here ...was looking for the POTC interactive ..lol

The next couple of weeks are going to be interesting. Most everyone in the office is going out of town for vacation. That leaves the new boy in town (me) in charge .... oops! Who knows what is going to be going on? :woohoo: :confused3

Are you going to leave 7000 to me, or are you sandbagging and waiting in the weeds????? pirate:
