WOW!!!! I'm away for a few days and there are so many pages. We have a huge fire down south from us burning. The whole valley is all smoke. It's been hot and hard work. So now I get a few days off. I hope you all are having a great week. Now off to read the 15 pages of post!

Kim, someone had bracelets made for a cruise a few months ago & they said how easy it was to spot a fellow DISer. You can wear them with anything & unlike a nametag...don't affect pictures.

That was someone else's nephew! My DS LOVED LOVED LOVED his day out with Thomas! My one and only nephew is due to arrive around October 2. He is still growing in his mama!!

It was my nephew....

and by the way October 2 is a great day to be born....

I have been trying to keep up but this thread just moves so fast it is impossible for me. I need to give Patsy a big public thank you for trying to PM me whenever there is event planning going on here.

I added our names to the linked dining and hopefully we will be pulled over to early since we are WLE. I keep thinking my kids' ages will help but you never know. If it is late seating hopefully the kids will do better than I think they will.

You guys are planning so many activities and I hope we get to join you for a few. I plan to attend the pre-sailaway meet at the very least. DS does not like the loud volume for the deck parties so I doubt we will be on deck 9 for the sailaway party. Last year we went to deck 10 aft and we could at least hear some of the party from there. I have thought about earplugs but I don't know if he would wear them.

We will not be doing the group brunch because it is on the wrong day for us and we are also not interested in doing the tea with Wendy thing. DH is going on the ruins tour but the kids and I will be staying onboard. Don't know yet about the progressive wine and cheese. If we can't get Allie in Flounders and Nathan in the Club at that time then I know we won't be there.

I have not made my reservation yet but it looks like we will be driving down and spending Friday night at the Radisson. What does everyone do for breakfast? Is there a restaurant you can see the ship from? That might be a nice way to start the day.

In the drive home everyday I pass the Port of Baltimore. A couple of days ago the Grandeur of the Seas (RCL) was in port. It made me think about cruising from here so I looked up on their web site. They have several 9 day Western Caribbean cruises starting at $499 per person! I am now beginning to look at our budget for some additional cash.

This would never take the place of our DCL cruises but that is a nice price.

It's good to see you posting again! I'd say go for the additional RCL cruise. I'm trying to talk my Mom into a Mom and Me cruise on Celebrity in Jan or Feb.

We are making plans with our 33yo DS for our annual trip to WDW in September. It was cancelled last year because of Katrina. The trip is usually in conjunction with a conference he and I are required to attend in Atlanta. Usually we fly to Orlando, go to WDW for a few days, rent a car drive to Atlanta for the conference then drive back to WDW for a few more days before flying home.

This year he wants to make the WDW part longer. To do that we will need to cut our WDW trip after the cruise shorter. We just need to work on the details. Southwest has $59 one way fares to and from Orlando from BWI. This makes it even more tempting.

Kim the wristband idea is great.

I have been wearing a multicolor one for over a year that has the Mickey icon stamped into it. They didn't even make me take off when I had my hip replacement last year. I told them it was for good luck. The surgeon laughed but I got to wear it .... nothing else but I did wear the band!

Becka, We do the sail away on Deck 10 also, but at midship so we can see the activities. Don't worry about trying to make all of the activities. One reason for having so many is so that everyone can participate in at least a couple. Having dinner with DISers, talking about your day, hearing the adventures of the kids, is the best. By the end of each cruise that we have done with DISers we have made lifelong friends at dinner.
