Poor DH is at the grocery store trying to find stuff to feed Nathan this week. He can't eat a single meal or snack at school this upcoming week according to the menu and about 95% of my recipes contain either corn or dairy. This is going to be a very difficult adjustment for us. Even my beef boullion cubes and chicken seasoning had corn products in them.

Tonight for dinner is plain baked chicken, plain steamed white rice and a salad.

That is OK with him. Peeps kind of creep him out since he was traumatized by Peep carnage at a very young age.

Have I not shared DS's Peep trauma story?

Nathan must have been almost 2 and DS brought home a package of Peeps which he loves every Easter. Anyway Nathan came in the kitchen as DH was unwrapping the "pretty birdies". DS then picked one up and proceeded to bite off its head. Nathan's look of horror at what his Daddy had done to the "pretty birdie" was classic.

That is one of our "silver linings". We are telling ourselves that this is actually a healthier way to eat. After all snacking on organic brown rice cakes is far better than eating ice cream.
