I think it was Todd who was talking about it. I'm still in sticker shock over the price a CM quoted - over $12k for a cat. 6 for 4 people. I'm not paying that!

Looking at the 3rd/4th person over 12yrs for the Med cruises it was 1177.00 for inside, 1377.00 for outside, 1577.00 for veranda rooms. Could not see the kids, as they were priced for taxes only. These did not change from the west and east.

This is the type of thing that got measures on both California and Oregon ballots to stop this foolishness. After the voters passed the measures in both states (CA way back in the 80's, Oregon in the 90's) the politicians are crying foul, but the retired folks are still in their homes. Of course during the elections in both states there were the typical scare tactics that there would be no police officers, no firemen, no services, no schools. All of those things still exist. California's created a sort of progressive tax system. When the house sold it was re-assessed at the new price. Folks said this was unfair because people who stayed in their homes paid less but those just moving in pay more. It did save the old folks though and young families knew what they would be paying in a new home and bought accordingly then their taxes remained relatively the same with some inflation allowed.

WEll, NJ does have something in place for seniors. Their taxes can be frozen. They still have to pay whatever the going rate is, but they get a rebate from the state. My parents have it, so their taxes, in essense, really won't go up in the end. The only problem is, the state can decide at any time that they don't have the money and lessen or even stop the program all together.

Hello there Brack! Thank you so much for sending the flash drive!!! I got it one day this week. I think the other pirate picture you sent from deck 3 looks great too. I couldn't figure out what happened to DS then realized he was being a little bugger & hiding behind Savannah & Sophia. OY!
