packing? I can't think that far ahead! I am slowly making a mental list but that is it. I still have to figure out my fe gifts!

Since I'm not doing the FE (having no kids and cruising completely solo), I don't have that to consider, but I LOVE already being packed (except for last minute items) as it makes me feel totally ready to board . . except for paying off the cruise of course!

Johns bday is 12-12, so we are celebrating his bday too!

Hmmm . . . Maybe all us "birthday nuts" could get together either for lunch one (sea) day or just gather for "birthday desserts" near the end of lunch at Lumiere's. I know that for those with families that might be difficult unless your kids are off doing something else, but we could give it a try if anyone with a b'day that week is interested.

There are lots of other possibilities - - a mini-meet for dessert at Topsider buffet, a meet-up at one of the clubs, or hey - Any of our birthday peeps occupying the Walt or Roy suite and care to extend an invitation for dessert? Just kidding!

Most likely everyone will be busy doing their own thing, but it would be kind of fun to show up wearing a "birthday nut" graphic and give the crew something more to talk about!

I've checked my bag for 12 previous sailings with no problem, although a couple of times I carried it off myself at the end of the cruise to save time. This time I am considering not arriving until close to 1:30 (the time guests can go to their staterooms), carrying my own bag (just one and not huge), taking it directly to the room, then grabbing a bite at Topsider or Goofy's Galley. Am I crazy? Reasons I MIGHT do this: (a) Cut the wait-time in the terminal. (b) Instant access to any of my belongings without waiting. (c) Going solo, I'd rather skip the Parrot Cay lunch this time. (d) I'd also carry my bag off at cruise's end, so not have to pack it up and put it out the night before, leaving my last evening free.

Of course if I DON'T do this, I'll probably be at the terminal by 10:30 as usual!

Likewise, Tas! I'm now bouncing off the wall waiting for the next piece of DCL mail to come. My last (and first) cruise, some additional stuff came around this same time, but I don't know if there will be something before the one that gives you your luggage tags and such.

Yay! The free dining plan has been extended to December 21st and my TA is adding it to my reservation now!

Rather than go back through this thread to try to find some of the others who posted about their birthday, I've created yet another form on our website. Yep!

As noted in a new item on our News page, if you are celebrating your birthday while sailing with the Cruisin' Nuts, please submit this form and before we sail I will post a special page listing all our Birthday Nuts so none will be overlooked. Hopefully we may manage to have a small birthday get-together, but if not at least there will be lots of Happy Birthday wishes!

Makes me wish I was staying at WDW before the cruise now Free Dining.

The free dining is only for certain dates. I'm lucky that it's for December 10th through the 21st, and I'll be there from when we get off on the 11th through the 15th.
