Taswira- I have to say you gave me a chuckle. Going from Florida to Idaho to have seafood?? LOL Too cute!

Yeah - My DH seems to have sworn off meat except for chuikar and pheasant from his bird hunting. I love seafood and fish, but not every night - LOL. His favorite is Alaskan King Salmon and Sockeye Salmon. Those are wild salmon from Alaska or British Columbia. In Florida you find a lot of farm-raised Atlantic Salmon (sometimes they add unhealthy artificial color) or imported Chilean Salmon. But of course there is a wide variety of fresh fish and seafood on the FL coast that you can't get fresh here.

Thanks for the info about the video camera. I'll have to check it out. I've just been starting to look around but really want to get one and get used to it before the cruise.

we bought a new Canon video camera for our cruise last year. it fits in the palm of my hand! it was very inexpensive and it took great video. I laugh a how big video cameras used to be (and how expensive).
just remember to take your charger..dh forgot ours.. .so our video was out by tues night.

Val - I never forget my chargers. Cameras, Blackberry, Bluetooth headset, laptop (but don't plan to take that on the cruise) . . I always keep in mind that without the chargers they'll soon be dead and useless.

You are SO right about the size of videocams. My two "ancient" ones are Panasonic VHS-C Palmcorders and they do still work. I just have no use for them in this digital age.

Avonlady1001 - I'm sorry you won't be joining us. I hope you'll have a great cruise though. I will remove you from the cruiser list later today when I am back at my laptop. Thanks for letting us know.

We are happy to have you join us. I do hope you will decide to stick with sailing with us and not give it up for one of the new ships. I plan to book one while on this cruise. I'm not concerned with necessarily being on one of the first sailings, because there are always kinks to work out on new ships.

A friend on another board posted the names of the 2 new ships. Fantasy and Dreams. I wonder if this is true?

We plan to book for one of the new ships too. We have a cruise scheduled for Oct 09 and we are going to push back the booking.

It IS true but it is Disney Dream (singular - not "Dreams") and Disney Fantasy. DCL announced it in an official release. Disney Dream is scheduled to launch in 2011, with Disney Fantasy following soon after in 2012.

I love the names because they are very "Disney." However, it's too bad that other cruise lines have ships with the same names - - (Carnival) Fantasy and (Norwegian) Dream. I think I have that right.

I was hoping the names were going to be Wishes and Dreams. Fantasy makes me instantly think of Carnival. but I know it will be awesome.

I'll take a "Dream" anyday.

I live right near the airport and get to see parts of the air show from my yard! My DH is a private pilot so he really gets into watching the planes. Me, I like the show, hate the traffic. Where we live they barricade the main road so I have to take a detour to just about everywhere for the week of the show.

I am excited about the new ships but we will wait a while before booking on them to give Disney a chance to work the kinks out plus we will probably wait 2 years after our Back to Back Cruises including this cruise before we sail again.

It is soooo nice right now its almost 8pm and its clear and 77º I am so glad to have moved to Florida

Went to the GF Spa yesterday and had a Pedicure what a nice splurge I just wish it had been on the Magic's spa lol.

Amy: wow that is an awesome treat! We are moving to Atlanta this summer and I will not miss the super cold/ snow one bit. I know they get some snow.. but nothing like Ohio does. (and we are then only 7 hours from Disney) my son wants his bday next year on a cruise. (it is the end of May) maybe WDW.

Hi, all my name is Dawn and my DH is Jim, this will be our 4th cruise, we are set up for main seating for dinner, we are on the 7th deck, but I am not sure as to which cabin. Please keep us posted as to schedule of events. Has anyone been on the Eastern before? Count us in on the Fish extenders.
