12/01/07 Western December 1, 2007 - Let's get the party started!

I am trying to post some pics of our last cruise on the Wonder. I can't seem to figure it out! can someone help me to insert a pic into my post?

Thanks!
Shellie

I upload pictures to photobucket (you can upload to any photo sharing site) and then copy the IMG code (last out of 3 codes under the picture) and insert it to the message.

:thumbsup2 Hi Hanover,
I agree with you about people getting caught up in the excitement of sailing, no matter if it's the 1st or the 10th time and folks with children vice folks without children will not have the same priorities.
Thus my statement lets see what everyone else wants.

Nice pictures from Med cruise and someone did good homework to have Topsider space blocked off..
See you on the cruise,
gg

I agree too. I have gone to 2 out of the 3 dis meets on the cruises I have taken. I met more disboarders just around the ship especially from recognizing the photos of them.

I am just so excited to be there!!

Hi Hanover, looks like we will be on the EB PC cruise too! :yay:

Hi GG,

We really had a great time in the Mediterranean. I took over 3,000 pictures and have yet to print one out. We did buy the biggest package Shutters offered so I at least have those to scrapbook. I just finished scrapbooking our May 2006 WDW trip/cruise and have last December's to do. I promised myself I wouldn't print them out to just sit there a year or two. I think I should probably convert to digital scrapbooking!

We were on the 11 night cruise and it was great to see the ports that we went to through Disney. We had our Dismeet a week into our cruise and by then everyone knew how to get around the ship and didn't feel like they were missing out on any onboard activities to make the Dismeet. I know that some Dis'ers met at Palo for brunch one day in their private meeting room that holds about 20 (I think). We went to brunch another day so we didn't go to that meet.

Hi Michelle 2,
We are really looking forward to the EB PC cruise next August. We were so spoiled being on the Magic for 11 days in July. We can't wait to be on it for 15! We gained almost a pound a day on the Med Cruise though so I hope we don't do it on the PC cruise! It was worth it though.

There's always having the meet up on deck 9 between the Family and kids pools.

This way the families with kids in the pool can keep an eey on them, those that want drinks can get them, and those that want to eat can grab a snack.

We just need to find a time range that works.

Does anyone know what pier we will arrive at in Cozumel? I am trying to book an independant tour, and was wondering how close it is. I really do not want to deal with any taxis.

Also, does anyone have the information of when we leave the ports? On the disney site, it doesn't say. Either that, or I am looking in the wrong place.

Port Ashore Onboard

I copied/pasted it from http://www.dreamsunlimitedtravel.com/cruise/CruiseLine7/pofcallmain.htm#wc

As for the actual pier I don't know. DH and I did a Carnival cruise (never again) in 2004 and we had our pier changed literally the day we were docking because too many ships were already at the original one. I am sure Disney probably docks at the same one each time. The taxi driver we had to/from Chankanaab drove crazy. We had vouchers to give to the drivers and he piled us in 4 adults in the back with no seat belts going what felt like 70 MPH. We made it safely back to the ship though.

A meet between the Mickey/Goofy pools sounds good to me. We'll probably be in that area from shortly after boarding until about 3:30 when we go get our life vests. We should probably have a specific area like Plutos Dog House area or the Mickey hand under the slide. On 2 of our past dismeets we were just told the Mickey pool at first and no one had name tags or any other identifiers. We must have asked a bunch of people if they were Dis'ers before we started finding them and we finally picked the Mickey hand since that had the most space (and was next to the bar!)

Hey Guys,

We can officially say we cruise NEXT month!

27 more days and a wake up until we fly down to MCO!!

Congrats on the upgrade!! :wizard: That is so exciting! :woohoo: We were only upgraded to a cat. 10, but since we just sailed last month, I'm ok with that! ;) Here's sending the rest of you guys pixie dust... :wizard: :wizard:

We had originally booked 2 adjoining cat 10, but then we downgraded to 2 cat 12 to save a bunch of money. We just got our room assignments.....now we have 2 cat 9, only one room away from each other.

Couldn't be happier, and all for $599 person, plus $200 OBC per stateroom. Happy, Happy, Joy, Joy!

See you guys there!

I am also super excited that we received some pixie dust and were upgraded to cat 8! Yippie! It will be so awesome for our first cruise to have an oceanview.

Hi All,

We're going to be on this cruise too! I spent literally hours to find others to get info and experiences as this will be our first cruise.

Let me get the symbologies and lingo correct... We'll be on the Disney Magic on the 12/01/07 trip with my DW, and DD Almost 5. No clue what cabin we're in.

Watched the DVD like 3 times already and she can't wait.

Hope to see you on board. I also noted the fun door plaques and will work on one soon! :rotfl:

I'm at work now and can't read all 20 pages of posts, but I've bookmarked it and will definitely enjoy them at home.

Hope to meet you funny people on board!

Chris, Chin & Sydney

Funny me..
Check on the Disney cruise line site to see if they assigned you a cabin number yet that is/was how I found out it will be weeks before they tell you, if ever...
If you need any help with a door sign :disrocks: just let me know and I will make you a green Mickey one..
have a good geekend alsoooo.

Wow! That is all great news! I am so happy for you all! We have a guarantee verandah. I guess i should check the web to see what we have assigned to us.

Does anyone know the nights for each show? or where I can find that information?

Thanks!

Shellie:hippie:

Just think, 4 weeks from today we can be toasting each other's upgrades in person!!!:woohoo:

I would start packing, but I am holding out the hope that my hubby will change his mind about the new luggage. :sad2:

I have all the navigators from a Western Cruise in early Ocober. The schedule is probably the same. If you want to know something maybe I can find it for you.
