My grandparents decided to take our whole family on a 7-night western cruise for their 50th anniversary! :cool1: We had a great time!

Here's the people on the cruise:

Michelle--Me! I turned 15 on the ship! This was my third DCL cruise!
Kristin--My little sister. She's 10 and this was also her third DCL cruise!
Laura--My mom. This was her fourth DCL cruise!
Vince--My dad. (skibum on the DIS) This was his fourth DCL cruise!
We were in room 5514.

Sally--My grandma. This was her 2nd DCL cruise!
Lee--My grandpa. This was his 2nd DCL cruise!
They were in room 5512 (Jim was too).

Jaclyn--My cousin. She's 15 and this was her first cruise ever!
Jim--My cousin. He's 13 and this was his first cruise ever!
Jason--My cousin. He's 10 and this was his first cruise ever!
Kara-- My aunt. This was her first DCL cruise!
Lee--My uncle. This was his first DCL cruise!
They were in room 5510 (except for Jim).

Friday 3/23--
Yay! Spring Break had offically started for me! We drove to a different airport than usual. It was really nice and empty! We flew on an airline that gave really yummy chocolate chip cookies! They were good!:thumbsup2 The flight was smooth and Kristin and I basically talked and played games with each other the whole time. When we got to the airport, dad picked up the car and Mom, Kristin, and I picked up the luggage. We drove to Cape Canaveral where we stayed at the Country Inn and Suites. It was very nice and the rooms were great too. We saw Grandma and Grandpa (they've been in Florida for the winter). We went to Applebee's and had dinner. It's offically a pre-cruise tradition! I needed to go to the bathroom after dinner, so I walked into the bathroom sat down and freaked out...by listening, I could tell that there was a little girl two stalls down throwing up:eek: No!! Not before the cruise!! After holding my breath for almost the entire time I was in the bathroom, I ran out and we went back to the hotel. I watched the beginning of Ms. USA and then went to bed. Tomorrow was the big day!

Stay tuned for more....

Saturday 3/24--
Yay! Finally the moment we've been waiting for! We woke up and put on the shirts I make for the occasion. They said 'Thanks Granma and Grandpa!' on them. They had a family tree symbolized with Disney characters on them. They were so cute! :) Next, we went down to the free breakfast downstairs. I had Lucky Charms...yum! I love Lucky Charms! They had many different hot and cold breakfast options. Now it was time to go to the port! My dad, grandpa, and I, along with at least 10 check in items squished into our small car and drove to the port. My dad dropped us off and went back to the hotel to pick up mom, grandma, and Kristin. While grandpa waited with the bags, I was standing at the gate so that we could get in the terminal quickly. I was the only one in line for a long time before anyone else got in line. Dad dropped off mom, grandma, and Kristin and dropped off the car. We were the first ones in the terminal, but it wasn't empty because there was a tour going on on the ship. We checked in, grabbed a table, and colored and took pictures while we waited for my cousins to arrive. Around 11:45-ish we boarded the ship with the number two card. I love getting the "Disney Magic welcome the ________ family"..don't you?! I taped it on my camera :) We grabbed a couple of chairs and jumped in the hot tub and pool while no one was in them. Then it was off to Topsiders for lunch! I saw Terk and the White Rabbit and then I layed in the sun for a few minutes. Everyone went back to the rooms, but Jaclyn and I stayed on deck for a few minutes with grandpa. Then there were technical difficulties and the microphones were going crazy with that noise that microphones make when they are too close to one another. ICK! Jaclyn and I went back to the rooms and I put up the day 1 door signs. We then went back up to deck 9 to grab grandpa and went back to the rooms to put on our life vests for the drill. We all met in the hallway before the drill and when the alarm went off, Jaclyn jumped about 3 feet off the ground :lmao: ! It was strange, the map of which way to go to the lifeboat in the room pointed a different direction than in the hallway. I went the way the hallway said and it took a lot longer than what the door said! We got back from the drill and took a few pictures in the life vests. Now it was time for the sailaway party!! I had promised myself that I would go on deck 9 and dance because last time I took pictures from deck 10. I regretted it because I felt like I hadn't actually done on the cruise besides taking pictures... I wanted to experience it this time. I HATE blasting music, and suprisingly, the volume level wasn't too bad on deck 9! I danced and took movies (I had my camera...sorry I couldn't help it!!) The horn blasted and streamers came pouring down...we had taken off! We got ready for our 5:45 dinner (I had requested and was told that 6:00 was confirmed, but something got changed and there were no more spots in 6:00). Our servers were Tibor (Hungary) and Claudia (Chile). After that dinner we were worried about how these servers would be for the rest of the cruise (they weren't overly fun on the first night). I guess you'll just need to keep reading to see how they were the rest of the trip! Anyways, we went to Mickey Mania, weren't picked. Then we went to the Welcome Aboard show. It was good, like always. Christiaan was our cruise director, he was fun! Back to Mickey Mania...I don't think I will ever get picked for any game! On the the Stack 411. I don't know. None of the three of us enjoyed the Stack. This was my second time in it, I thought I would give it a second chance. I think I'm more of an Oceaneer Lab type girl!
Time for bed! See you later!!

Good job so far.
It will be interesting to see this TR from a younger point of view.;)
