11 month window Sunday BEFORE Thanksgiving

I am coming up to the 11 month window for making my BWV 2 week family vacation. So, I have read advice to book day-to day for the first week of December. Should I do day-to day for Thanksgiving week as well? My dates are Sunday, November 20th - Saturday, December 4th 2005, 2BR standard view. I have volunteered to help at my son's school Tuesday morning (the 21st) which would be the first day's reservation. Should I plan on bringing my cell phone with me? If you are going for SV - absolutely! I wouldn't chance not being able to get that busy Thanksgiving weekend myself.

I would do it day by day but I don't think you have to worry about being right at 9:00am for the 20th. It can wait until the afternoon.

Oh, oh! Does this mean we might not be able to get OKW for Thanksgiving week in 2005? We can only book at 7 months there because that's not our home resort. Or could we do something about "trading points" to get the 11 month window? If so, someone please tell me how to do that. I've heard of it, but I have no idea how it's done.

In this case, the issue is getting the standard view (or BW view) rooms guaranteed. Since those reservations are limited in number, they may require diligence at the 11 month reservation priority.

Most likely, unless you want a GV at OKW, you won't need to worry about 11 months ahead- most rooms types will still be available 7 months ahead.
