Another question Disney friends: If I go to book my home resort at 11 months and want to pay cash (as part of the $19/point that I think is limited to 24 points per year), can I still make the reservation at 11 months without enough points?

To keep an example simple for my sake, let’s say I have a small 25 point contract. To book one nights stay in a room is 17 points. Two nights would be 34, so I’m 9 points short. Can I still book the two nights at 11 months and pay $171 (9 x $19)? If so, is this at booking or checking in? Thanks for the continued advise and help.

No. You can only buy OTU points at 7 months.

You can book as many days as you have points for at 11 months, but you cannot book nights for which you do not have home resort points at 11 months.

Those one time use (cash) points have no home resort and cannot be used during home resort priority.

And, when you do buy them, it’s at the time you need them to book the trip. They can only be bought when a tally making the reservation at 7 months or less.

The can not be banked ever, so if you had to cancel, they would expire at the end of the UY of the trip.
