What are typically the hardest days of the week to book? My situation is that I plan to have points at two resorts. If I want to stay at one of my home resorts, but want to use points from my other resort for addtional nights, what is the optimal way to book it? Do Sunday nights tend to be the hardest to get at the 7 month window? If I have enough points at one resort for 6 nights, which six nights would you book first?? I would want to try to get the 7th night at the 7 month window...

leave a fri or sat night for booking at the 7 month window. since they are more expensive, they are more commonly available at 7 months out.

(or else borrow pts for that home resort and book the whole thing at 11 months.)

In the past, because of the much higher point cost for Fri-Sat, those nights have tended to be open at 7 months when nothing else is. There has usually been no real distinction in availabilty for any particular night Sun through Thurs, i.e., they are equally busy. Shift in 2010 to lower point costs for weekends and higher for weeknights is intended to raise demand for weekends and lower for weekdays. Likely will lower weekday demand somewhat simply because large numbers of members are finding themselves without enough points to do all of the Sun to Thurs trip they were used to doing -- in other words, less demand because members can't afford all the nights anymore. Doubtful it will really increase weekend demand by much.
