11 month reservations

HI there,

I am so glad I just found this website. We were trying to reserve our 11 month for AKV for New Year's week. We wanted to go Dec 28 on. The rep told me we can't call till Feb 2nd. Am I missing something? This is our first "high season" reservation so I don't want to miss it and not get our spot. Any help would be appreciated.

I'm assuming your check out date is going to be January 2nd, 2009?? If AKV is your home resort, you can request a reservation 11 months before your CHECK OUT date, not the date you check in. Good Luck!

its best to call day by day....that is if your first night will be 12/28/08 reserve one night 11 months from that check out date of 12/29 then call each day from there forward until you reach your full trip. good luck

Sounds like you may have gotten some correct info but need to try an alternative way for booking Christmas time:


Ressie rule: you can call 11 months in advance of your intended CHECK-OUT date from WDW not your intended arrival date. If you intend to go Dec 28 to Jan 2, that would usually mean you cannot call until Feb 2.

However, Christmas season can be tough to get if you wait at all particularly for New Years Eve. So here is what you might consider, called a day-by-day booking:

Call tomorrow and get the night of Dec 28 (tomorrow, Jan 29, is the earliest you can call for that), you will be reserving only that night and will be doing so as if the check-out date is Dec 29 and thus exactly 11 months from that check-out date. Tell MS you will be doing daily booking and will want the ressies linked.

Call Wedenesday, Jan 30 and book night of Dec 29 and have it linked to first night.

Call Thursday, Jan 31, and get night of Dec 30; call Friday and get night of Dec 31, call Sat and get night of Jan 1, and then make sure all are linked; you will end up with one reservation and a single confirmation number.
