Yeah, we just got back, but we're already in the planning stages of our next visit. So unusual around here! :teeth:

We stayed 8 nights last time, and it just wasn't enough time to do all we wanted to do. So we'd like to try a 10 night stay. But that leaves us with 9 full days and two half/travel days, for a total of 11 potential park days.

What's the best strategy for buying tickets for that many days? The package deals only give you up to 10 days, and we expect to use DDP so it'll be a package deal for us.

How do we get a park ticket for the 11th day, and is the price worth it?

If you get the park hopper add-on, you might be better off with getting annual passes. If you are going sooner then one year from this last trip, annual passes would have covered both trips.

We will be there for 11 full days in June. We are purchasing the 10 day park hopper ticket and then midtrip we are taking a non park day. We will spend it resort hopping, shopping in DTD, maybe renting a boat on Bay Lake. We are even thinking about doing Cirque that day, and or enjoying the Boardwalk area.

We have gone for 10 days in the past and a resort day mid-trip is always a nice change of pace.

Just an idea. :)

We are going to be there for 13 days. We also have the 10 day park hoppers. We are going to go to the outlets, Disney Quest and DTD on those down days. I am actually looking forward to those shopping days. We were going to get APs, but we were afraid that we might not get back down there before they expire.

For the 11 to 13 day trip you can start with 10 day expiring passes. Shortly before you leave you can decide whether to upgrade those passes to AP's. If I remember correctly, once you buy a 10 day pass with hopping, you can't buy more than two more hopping days (on a second ticket) without exceeding the cost of an AP.

Using leftover tickets for the 11'th, 12'th, and/or 13'th days in the theme parks is a "good economical" usage.

One thing to be aware of: If you use water park fun added to your MYW ticket and then want to upgrade to an AP, you must upgrade all the way to a premium AP. Rougly it takes four minor park visits to break even on the premium versus regular AP difference regardless of how many theme park visits you make.
