11/7 month windows

Been thinking about DVC for past 8 years or so. Husband says we should have done it years ago. I understand the advantage of being able to book your home resort at 11 months out...our problem is that we very rarely know the exact weeks we will have vacation that far in advance. My husband gets his vacation schedule for the entire next year in mid-December. So if we want to go in Jan/Feb we are working on only 1-2 months notice. Best case scenario is if we want to go in October (at least that way we have about 10 months notice). What are the rooms that are practically impossible to get except at 11 months out? I have read that AKL value and concierge are extremely difficult to get...are there room types/views at other resorts that would be difficult too? We would def be buying resale and am starting to look at what contracts are available at the different resorts. Since we won't usually be able to book at 11 months out, I'm debating which resort to make our home resort. Thanks in advance!

The following can be difficult to reserve if not done when the 11 month window opens:
AKV Value Villas & Concierge Level (these only exist in Jambo House)
BLT Standard View & Theme Park View
BWV Standard View & Boardwalk View

I wouldn't buy based on easy availability, I would buy based on where we love to stay.
