Hi KAthy, I am trying to figure out some possible dates to go to WDW. Just curious if you know how busy the parks are during these times.

March 10-15 This is 1 week before Easter break.

April 14-18 This is after Easter break is over.

I am trying to find a time to go when it is not sooo busy. Last year we went the day after Thanksgiving and it was crazy!!

Thanks:)

Lorna

Lorna,
We went to WDW that same week about 3 years ago and it was packed. So many college kids go to WDW for Spring Break. We also which that same week in April (For my B-day) and it not that bad. Have fun!!

Good morning everyone!

Well, this is day 3 in South Georgia (Nashville, GA if you are curious) and we are headed to 102 degrees here today with about 65% humidity. In other words, it will be HOT and STICKY!

Kathy: Glad to hear Pixie's surgery went well. Apparently I missed something, because I didn't even know that she was having surgery.

The client I am at right now is a boat manufacturer and the founder brings his German Shepherd to work with him everyday. She is beautiful and very friendly, once you get to know her. My introduction to her last year was I stepped in the hall, turn, and this dog is growling at me.:scared1: Turns out, her name is Baby.

I told Bill the other day that since we've been together (12 years) that we've never used the A/C as much as we have this summer. So I feel you pain, but happily not to the same extent!

Lorna ... Guido's doing find. All of his bloodwork and urinalysis came back good but the Dr did give us some incontinence meds and that has been a lifesaver on some fronts. So we're thankful for what we have.

I woke up too early and now I'm BEAT! So much to do ... ugh ...

Morning All:

Nothing much to report here. Went to a Spfd Cardinals game last night. It was warm, but fun.

The only thing going on at our house is packing, and then living with rooms full of boxes. Hunter's room is packed, the bathroom (except the important stuff) is packed. The kitchen is about 3/4 done. I asked Trey how he felt about eating out every night until we moved. He asked who was paying. Don't think thats gonna work. Hunter starts Middle School tomorrow. I'm trying my best NOT to feel old. But my baby should not be in Middle School. But what can I do?

Anywho, everyone keep your fingers crossed, as we are suppose to hear about the appraisal today.

Hugs & Kisses.

This reminds me of one of Jeff Foxworthy's stories. He talks about when women get pregnant, they start to worry about the baby. Men start to worry about how they are going to pay for the baby, and everyone else. He found himself outside at the electrical meter one day yelling back in the house, "Turn something off, this thing is spinning like a top!":lmao:

Okay, we were halfway down page 2. I don't want to hear any of Kathy's "jokes" anymore!;)

Good Evening    ,
Well thought I would check-in before I head to make my Eggplant Parm heros. Nothing much going on here. Went to the bakery and that is about it. I am excited because my friend that moved to FL. is coming to visit next week. Well that is all that is going on here;) ;) ;) ;) .

Bob: We have to send you some of the weather we are having here in NY. I was wearing a sweatshirt today because we are in the 50's:scared1: :scared1: .

Tonya: I hear you with the mounds of boxes everywhere;) ;) . The cat likes the mounds because she sleeps behind them. I tried that eating out thing too with Andrew and he gave the same answer that Trey did. Well I wish Hunter good luck in Middle School!!!

Bob,
you saved us just in time, i have a dilly of a joke just waiting to be posted when the occassion arises:rolleyes1

I have been busy working on my memory book for my mom. I have 3 more pages to go then I can assemble it. It is turning out much better than I thought it would. Of course I havnt got it together yet.
Thanks Linda for the encouragement!!!

Hey were are our new people??:confused3

I hope I didnt scare them off with my whip:confused: I am trying to sound nice for a few days so I dont scare them away. Please post again!!! We miss you.:flower3:

I made tacos for dinner tonight. Plus fresh peaches for dessert.
too hot to bake much right now, I may try to make some cookies after I get my book done. just have to start early in the morning if I want to bake.

store bought just cant live up to the flavor of homemade treats!!! Guess I like to spoil my family. Do any of you make things from scratch anymore??? Or do you just buy cookies or the ready made dough in the store?? Just curious. It is getting so hard to find someone who can cook from scratch nowadays.

Pixie is up and running this evening. I can tell she is sore but she is back to eating and playing normal already. Wish I could bounce back that fast.

catch everyone later,
Kathy

Evening all:

Well not much going on again this evening...as usual...

Kathy: I only back around christmas time. I'm not a real good baker...for some reason my chocolate chip cookies after a day start to get a little hard??? Actually my daughter is the baker in our family and she loves to come home at the holidays and bake some cookies for us...her's always turn out better than mine!!??:confused3
She as actually turned into a pretty good cook to. Well I guess that's because that was her job in the army....she still "works" in that department, but since she is a a sargeant she no longer cooks...just bosses.....she sure takes after her dad!!:sad2: :goodvibes

Well Louie is a little down today...after I got home he vomitted..now he is just laying around...not his usual self.

Well take care all
Later

Hi everyone,
Just posting to say hello. Kathy told me I should just pop in to say hi, so, here I am....HI!
Pat

Good Morning    ,
Well today is another rainy day. This is the 4th day of rain :sad2:!! We are actually reaching the 70's today instead of the 50's it has been;) ;) !!
Well today DS and I are heading to the Mall to walk around because we are tried of being the house. Well let me go dress DS for the day and get him down for his morning nap because he was up pretty early this morning. Have a good day everyone:banana:     !!!

Kathy: I love to bake!!! I make homemade apple pie, cookies and cakes. My DH prefers home made over store bake goods. The only thing that DH likes from the bakery is his Italian pastries. The only thing that I have a hard time with like Denise said is Chocolate Chip Cookies. After a day the cookies are rocks:confused:  ... I just made this past weekend Chocolate Pizza which was a big hit with the in-laws;) ;) ;) !!!

Morning everyone,
I am glad to hear someone else still bakes too. I cant find anyone around here who does.
For choc chip cookie, just put them in a zip lock baggie with a piece of bread or a slice of apple and zip it closed next day they will be soft again.
Bread adds no flavor but the apple will add a slight flavor.

If the cookies are rock hard, you may have to change the piece of bread the next morning and let a new piece sit for a few hours to soften them up but it always works. any more when I make choc chip cookies as soon as they are cooled i automatically put them in a ziplock baggie with a small piece of bread. Just to make sure.

well we may finally get some rain today and 50% chance of rain this weekend. we really need it so no problem!! I sure hope we get it.

Lynn,
you must be getting close to your moving date??

well off to hopefully finish my memory book today.

Denise, I hope doggie feels better soon. I just saw a news reporter last night talking about how dogs can get the flu just likeus and to be careful about taking your dogs to dog parks in L.A .right now because they are passing it around there.

Kathy

Good Morning Everyone!:wave2:

Kathy: Glad I was able to avoid your input of jocularity into the thread (MASH fans will recognize that term).

Lynn: We would LOVE to have some of that weather down here, both the rain and the cold temps. One of my co-workers is from LI and we were talking yesterday about the high being the 60's up there!

Have a great day everyone! Stay out of trouble, or at least have fun!:dance3:

Kathy,

We are 3 weeks away from our moving date!! It will be here so fast. We are in pretty good shape with the packing.

Thanks for the idea with the hard cookies!! I have to try that next time I make a batch!!

Good Morning    ,
Well we did not venture to the mall but went to Wal-Mart instead and it was not crowded at all. Went to Toys R Us to look for the Little Einisten new Rocket movie and they did not have it:sad2: :sad2: !! Well I got all my September birthday and Anniversary cards today so I am going to write them out now because we are going to be moving and I did not want to forget everyone's birthday and anniversary. Talk to you later:wave:   !!

Hi all, Just a lazy day here in Michigan. The girls and I all slept in. John had to be up early for a meeting. Madison and I went to the library. Other than that not much going on here today. Hoping to go swimming at the neighbors pool. It is hot again!!:cool2: I am not complaing though. I did not like the 3 days of 50-60 degree rainy weather we had. I guess it was a little hint of fall.

Tomorrow we are going to Kalamazoo for the night to see my brother and 2 nephews. They have an in ground pool. It is suppose to be in the 90s. It will be a great day for swimming!!:thumbsup2

Less than 2 weeks until school starts. I guess next week I will be taking the girls school supply shopping. No more relaxing. Fall is going to be very busy:eek: I am going to try to enjoy these last 10 days of summer vacation!

Hi All,
I came over to the meets board to see if someone had already posted a thread for our cruise, thinking I wouldn't find one and that it was to early.
Boy was I wrong.
You all have been busy with well over 100 pages.
Anyway, it sounds like you all know each other and have cruised together before.
We are a pretty quite lot and tend to keep to ourselves - crazy I know ;).
But its great to see there will be a nice group of friendly DISers on the ship.
I might pop back by now and again, now that I know you are here....but I doubt I will ever get caught up. ;)

Welcome Danica!

Just jump right in and you'll be up to speed soon enough!!!!

Many of us cruised in 2006. A few of us are going again in 2007, and an even bigger bunch is going in 2008. (Hopefully we'll be part of the bunch again!!!)

Denise -- everything o.k. down your way???? I know there was some wicked weather in the Chicagoland area today. We are far enough north that it missed us.

Tonya -- good luck on the packing!!! Perhaps Shell can offer some ideas on how to encourage Trey to let you guys eat out until the move!!:lmao: :lmao: Good luck to Hunter in Middle School. Jess was just talking about him yesterday and was wishing you guys would be on the '07!

How is everyone else doing??? We have had rain almost everyday for the past week or so. Ditches and lawns have lots of standing water. Luckily we don't live near a river, but our entire area has been under flood watches & warnings throughout this whole time. Weren't we just complaining about how dry it was???????:confused3 :confused3

Have a good night!

Evening all:

Thank God I know how to swim!!!!!!

It has been one ugly afternoon here....it started around 3pm where I work, they were predicting high winds and tornado's....so the alarms went off and we had to move everyone down the basement....patients and all:eek: We were down there around 25 minutes and then got the "all clear". So we continued on the afternoon. By the time I got off work at 5pm it had pretty much passed over and seemed to be clearing up. So I stopped at the store on the way home and by the time I did get home...it had moved in again and around 5:45 started with thunder and lighting and then it poured buckets for about 30 minutes...slowed down some, but it is still raining now with some thunder in the distance....our ground is soaked....I have a swing in the yard and the wind blew it over, so Wally and I went out to pick it up....not a good thing with tongs on!!!:scared: I was getting sucked into the ground....
But Cheri thanks for asking: We survieved the storms so far....how about you? Are they heading your way?????

Welcome Danicaw and family: Glad to have you with us.....we can always use more nana heads.....we are a quite bunch!!:rolleyes1 :rotfl: Ok so I told a little white lie...as you can tell by our posts....we are not that quite or shy....
Only two people to watch out for....Tiggerking....aka Tiara Bob....he can get a little ummm shell I say:rolleyes1 hard to handle but dont worry...I keep him under control!!!;) and Cruisemutt....he dosnt come over that often yet, but when he does just watch out.....he bites!!!:scared1: So come and visit and get to know us....we really are a fun group....!!!

Well thats about it for tonight....
later all
Denise:banana:
