Hello all! did you miss me?
Lynn - I thought of you when our temps dropped down to the 30's. It's a different kind of cold here compared to up there. That wind just cuts right through your entire body. I do hope you had a great time and that Drew had a fun first time ever trip. did you get your 1st visit button?

Hi :wave2: Kathy.

Thanks to all of you who sent us Christmas cards. I didn't get any out this year. This has been, somewhat, of a difficult month for us and we are trying to adjust to our new live-in additions. Our lives have been changed and rearranged. We are getting back to a new normal! Our little girl and her little baby have moved back home with mom and dad! And she needs extra love and hugs, so we are here to provide them for her. We just seem to jump from one frying pan to another in this family! But...we always come through it with a smile and a new outlook on life! Just gotta keep climbing that mountain.

I do hope you all had a fantastic Christmas - or whatever holiday you celebrate...I'm too lazy to look at the last postings. I think you added at least 100 posts since I last checked! I can't think of that much to say! I forget the spoken language of adults after being with little ones all day!
Have a great day all.
Pat

Hey Pat,
I said to DH that Florida has a different kind of cold weather that goes right through you!! We had a very nice time and I think DS had a great 1st time to Disney. We will go back with Drew's sister will be around a year. Yes, Drew got his 1st time Button and Mickey Ears with his name on it. He would not either the ears or the button on long enough to get a picture. We also went to see Santa in Maigc Kingdom and I was shocked because he actually sat with him and did not cry.
Wow you are a great grandmother you be watching all your grandkids during the day!! When can I drop of Drew?? Happy New Year to you and your family!!

Hi Cheri:wave2:

Good Morning,
Today I am cleaning and getting things done around the house. DH is sick with a very bad cough. We are cleaning all the boxes that we did not unpack from Princess Wendy Woo Linda's room and starting to get it ready to get a rug put in. Well tomorrow we are going to DH's Aunts for Breakfast and a visit with DH's grandmother too. New Year's Eve DH is working to noon so I am going to go shopping at Carter's for new baby. New Year's Day DH's family is coming over. That is all that is going on here.

Nobody said Hi to me- But I will say Hello to everyone :) :) :) :) !!

Hello everyone.

Got a question to throw out to all of you. Our family of 6 has 2 connecting inside rooms booked (2571 & 2573) for our 11-29-08 cruise. My wife and I have been wondering about upgrading to either oceanview rooms or verandahs. Do you spend enough time in your rooms to make it worth the extra $$. I really like the idea of looking out on the ocean every morning but the $600 upgrade for ocean view and $2000 upgrade for verandahs makes me wonder if its really worth it?

Any thoughts/comments? :confused3

Also, how many of you rent a car from the airport and how many go via limo or Disney bus?

Thanks,
Greg

OK, first of all Greg, you must learn the correct greeting ... it's "Hello Nanas" or "Hello Nana Heads" :rotfl2:

Personally, Bill & I always have had a veranda, and we do enjoy it. Since it's the only thing we've had, we can't imagine not having one, so we're kinda spoiled that way. It's like we haven't been to a Cleveland Indians game since the last time when we had club seats ... just got used to that little bit of luxury! HOWEVER, we have discussed someday getting an ocean view just to save $$. As long as we can see the water, we're happy.

There are others (CHERI) that prefer having the inside cabins.

So to answer your question, gee, I guess someone who's had both kinds would answer it better!

Howdy nanaheads,

Greg we dont have kids with us but if I did I would at least want an ocean view because with kids young enough to nap i know I would be in the room for a couple extra hours a day or if they sleep in I would like to at least see the ocean.

We are like Shell and are spoiled by a verandah, but we have done the ocean view and liked it too.

Think about the amount of time you will have to be in your room, due to naps or sleeping times, that should help you to decide.

Kathy

Lynn - you can drop off that sweet little guy any time you wish. All the kids love it here! We were always the fun place to visit.
I'm glad you had a great visit at the MK. sorry about the weather. Today was a beautiful day. In the 80's! By Wed. it will be in the 20's and 30's. I'm going after firewood tomorrow! It will be the first time I get to use my fireplace this winter:banana:

Hello NanaGreg!- I'm not too sure about the verandah, but the oceanview rooms are great! I think you are across the hall from us!
Pat

Hi Nanaheads.

Greg - we love having the verandah and went to an ocean view this time. I only missed the verandah a few times and thought that we could go to an inside room because I think you adjust your habits slightly. We spent far less time in the cabin on this cruise - our first without a verandah -- and I could have been inside just as easily.

That said, we booked a verandah for the Nanahead cruise and are in an oceanview for our Aug. 09 Eastern.

The advice I got from everyone when we first cruised was to book the absolute lowest category that you COULD live with and then hope for an upgrade or try to pay for a less expensive one at the port. Now that we have cruised 3 times, we probably would book pretty much any category.

Hope everyone is having a great weekend.

Hey, Greg. To me it comes down to what I can afford without sacrificing my other things I want to do. If I could afford to, we definitely would do the verandah but I would have to give up my other WDW trips to make up for the difference in cost. We had an inside cabin, and rebooked an inside cabin. In all fairness though I have to mention that the handicap rooms are bigger than the other inside staterooms.

We drive so can't help you with the transportation after arriving by plane.

Kathy, I'm undecorating too! The tree is standing bare in the livingroom waiting for the boys to get the box. Plan to do it tomorrow! Then I'm done.

Greg, I didn't mention. WHERE the room is, is more important to me.

Took the boys roller skating today. Elizabeth was over to get a break from her mother! ;)

Catch all you nanaheads tomorrow! Dawn

Evenin' Nanas

Greg: our first cruise we were in an inside room-the only thing we didn't like was that when you woke up, you had no idea what time of the day/night it was-our last 2 cruises we had a window so we could see the day light come through the windows!! Space wise, they seemed to be the same with or without window....and as DH says....Deck 4 is the biggest verandah you would ever need....:woohoo:

OK...need a little support here.....Joshua is out on his first date with a girl where he is driving.....:scared1: then he calls to give me an update and tells me the girls say "hi"..... ...GIRLS!!?? WHEN DID THIS DATE BECOME GIRLS :scared1: :scared1: :scared1:

I am not enjoying my baby growing up....he will be 18 on Jan 13th....how is this happening to me

Hello Nana Heads!! (ok, somebody tell me why we call ourselves nana head?) :confused3

Thanks for all your comments on stateroom upgrading. I think we'll try and do an upgrade to an ocean view when we get to the port?! :thumbsup2
