That sounds right. Some limo companies won't let you take an actual limo if you have a car seat (we have done it but had one tell us no one time).

We were going to stay at the Grand Vista when we first arrive in Orlando, but Horizon's by Marriott looks better for the kids.

If it were just my wife and I going we'd probably stay at the Grand Lakes/Ritz Carlton.

The Grande Lakes Marriott and Ritz were both priced VERY reasonably when I checked for Thanksgiving. I think the Marriott was 159 - it has a great kids pool with lazy river - and the ritz was 199.

Okay, I can check on a ride from Orlando too, but this limo company is in Merritt Island, close to Port Canaveral, so it would probably cost a lot more to go from Merritt Island, to Orlando, and back to the Port.

I have some more questions if anyone can help me out. If we chose to fly in on Friday, where is a good place to stay? Logistically, how do we get to the ship if we do not stay at the airport hotel? We saw that they are cutting a whole lot of flights Thanksgiving weekend, and are a little worried about getting in on time. Since our air is booked through DCL, don't they wait if the flights are delayed, etc?

And no, they don't hold up the ship for late flights.

Actually, I have read on the main board that if you booked your air through DCL, and you cannot make it by the normal all aboard time, they may delay the ship for a brief period. If your flight arrives entirely too late, then they will handle transporting you to the next port (in our case, Key West) to get you on the ship.
