Notice all the orbs and the cannon ball hole on the top center of the barn. It is from the battle.

Excellent idea ... Nana Royalties. We need a Nana attorney ...

Kids ar forbidden by the Adult Pool and after 9pm in the Beat Street area. They enforce it pretty good...except in June:rolleyes1 . That is one of the bests things about Disney. They keep adult areas for adults only:love: Also if families show up to any of the adult only activities they will be asked to leave

Yea, I agree with them not being allowed. We would never take DS to the adult areas or even try to. I was only asking out of curiosity b/c we have seen other lines not enforce it, I was just wondering... I guess it happened on other lines b/c there was NO nursery for kids under 2. That's one of the main reasons we choose to sail DCL this time. So, we could spend time with DS, but still have a place for him to go and for us to have some adult time too.

Do the Nanas spend most of their time at the Adult areas? If so, I guess we won't be getting to hang out with you guys most of the time...DS might not stay too long in the Nursery.

Is the Promenade Lounge adult only? That's where the meet and greet is, so I was wondering, we aren't familiar with what areas are adults areas on the Magic.

Promenade is family, which is why we have the meet there. As far as how much time is spent in adult areas, it just depends on the family and what their preferences are.

Ditto in August. It was horrible. The folks just didn't follow the rules. And as you know *I* have 2 younger kids so when I'm in the adult areas I want to be with adults. If I am going to follow the rules and put my kids in the club so I can enjoy the adult areas,so should everyone else.

I agree...we plan on following the rules too. :) I have been on other lines and it wasn't enforced, that why I was asking. I didn't know about DCL. Other lines do not have a Nursery for kids under 2, I guess that's why it went on there.

Shell, Brantley from last year is an attorney. Maybe we should contact him. He is posting on the 09 and hopes to go then.

morning all, just a quick on and off today. That stupid virus hitme again yesterday and even got to Greg last night while he was attempting to read a trip report. He wasnt even signed in and it attacked.

I wrote to the tech board site AGAIN!!!! I hope they will clean it offf the boards.
For those who also had the problem, please take aminute to write to the tech support people and complain. Maybe if enough do this they will listen and check it out.
Thanks.

I have all my security and firewall set at their highest settings. I cant even post icons anymore and it stillw ill find a way through.

I am out of here.

I will try to lurk to keep up my banana count and tops counts and hope it doesnt get me again.
I cant afford to ruin this computer .

Maire,

Bob, great to have you back again,

Kathy

Thanks!! I hope to attend the meet and greet, but we do not leave the WDW resort until 12:45. We might not be onboard by then. I don't have any idea how long the boarding takes, and plus we have to go by bus to the port from WDW. They said we'd arrive at the pier around 2PM.

I'm off to see how much an upgrade to a balcony cabin will cost me...

I starting to chicken out on staying in the oceanview. I was hoping the prices would drop as we got closer to the date.

Did any of you decide on a Southern Caribbean Cruise date or a Med date for 2009?

Mornig Bobby...nope I have to work to so you are not alone:goodvibes

Bubba welcome home...

Shell, glad your cable came back I hate to see you so put out:rolleyes1

Jeff and Bobby..ditto on the hero worship with keeping your children out of the adult areas, I mean if I wanted to be around children at that time I would have brought my own:rolleyes1

On the Mexican Riviera cruise, I saw young pre-teen kids in the Cove Cafe (which was bad enough) but I was at the Adult Pool one afternoon and parents were having their kids meet them there. Again pre-teens. Now, I understand that sometimes you might have to meet them at the edge of the pool (though we have never had to do that) but they had them at their pool chairs and they all hung out there for more than 45 minutes. I was just waiting for the kids to jump in the pool. Regardless, I was aggravated because it was really my only day to have a couple of quiet hours there and I was reading a book on the edge of the pool. My relaxation was gone immediately.

I'm hoping we can chalk this up to the more "relaxed" parenting attitudes of *ahem* some of the west coast cruisers...who also let their young kids (like 9 and 10 year olds) stay up pretty much all night and be gathered in the stairwells AND walking through the adult club areas.

Off my soapbox. Lost that smiiie, SHell.

Off to pick up Chelsea from school to take her to the oral surgeon to see if we do indeed need to "YANK" those wisdom teeth out :lmao: :lmao: ...gosh I'm glad she doesn't read these boards....real caring mom huh!?! :lmao: This is what you get when your mom is a nurse...."oh, quit complaining...I've seen much worse"....:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I laughed when I read this b/c my mom is a nurse and she always told us the same thing.:lmao: Even when we were REALLY sick, it took her a few days to get concerned enough to take us to the doctor. Its funny now, with her grandchild, he can have a sniffle and she asks "are you taking him to the doctor? You need to". I just laugh at her and say "why, you didn't take me!!"

I just asked All Seas for a quote on the 10 and 11 night Holiday cruise in 2010

Another kid question? At dinner, do they have it where families with kids sit with other families with kids? I'd hate for DS to disturb other diners who are there for an adult meal.

We have late seating too. I tried for early, but no luck there...all full for our sailing.

On RCCL thee was a fight at the adult pool because a woman had her like 15month old baby at the pool. I agree, kids shouldn't be there. Especially having kids, when we are thee we don't want other peoples kids there, we want nice adult time :goodvibes

My kids come into the adult area only to ask if they can use their card to charge things...On RCCL they'd stop by the adult area to ask if they can go to Johnny Rocket's (There is a service charge) and if they can go to the game room and put $20 on their card. etc.
But on RCCL the adult areas are usually 16 and over, not 18 like Disney.
