Thanks for the Dry Dock info!!!
Sounds great.
DD will love the toddler area at the pool!

I have been lurking this week....
Glad everyone is safe and that Jeff is doing well.

Ok, now to figure out what to do for dinner.

The upgrades sound great!

She'll be lookin' good when we get there!!!

Evenin' Nanas!

We're sure excited to see what's coming post drydock. But we're even more excited for the drydock to start because we get to drive by the Magic twice a day taking DD to and from school. I can't wait to head over the bridge and see her sitting there in all her glory!! :lovestruc

I hope everyone's been having a good day. Charles and I are super busy at work preparing for the expected arrival of Hanna this weekend. Looks like we'll get a lot of rain but nothing compared to what the Gulf Coast went through this week.

Just talked to Wendy -- she's on her way to her house to get her blender (and check their house for damage)!

Sounds like things are fine except that the sewers are backed up and people aren't supposed to bathe.

So glad my BFF-LA is good!:goodvibes :goodvibes

Hi Nanas!
Thanks SO much for the prayers, pixie dust and well wishes. Doc said the procedure couldn't have gone better. I have some pain and discomfort but I'm home which is good. Hopefully I won't be out of commission for more than a week. I'm hoping it will be less but decided to set my goals a little differently so that if it is earlier i'll be pleasantly surprised.

The worst part is that I went in with a bit of a cold and a cough and the intubation just irritated my throat more. I think if I get rid of the cough and sore throat quickly, I'll make quicker progress.

Fun night in the hospital. The unit I was in had just moved to a new (older) floor. So the private room I was promised didn't happen and my "roomie" talked and had the tv on all night. AC in our room also broke and it was stifling. I got some icepacks and that helped but all he did was complain all night. Needless to say I'm exhausted today but so happy this procedure is behind me and now on the process of healing and getting ready for Nanaheads III.

Thanks again to all.
jeff

Judy just sent an e-mail saying they're getting ready for Hannah too ... so now all our pixie dust needs to be directed towards the East Coast Nanas pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust:

Wow ... I was just checking out the Weather Channel and Hurricane Ike went from a tropical storm at 11am today to a Cat 1 hurricane at 5pm to a Cat 3 at 8pm. That's crazy!

Jeff, so good to hear from you this soon. I'm sure you'll get a good night sleep tonight:thumbsup2

Tell Mina Hi and to not be a stranger around here:goodvibes

Off to do the dishes,

Good morning Nanas! I'm off to another day of watching storm tracks, checking pump stations, and running through equipment inventories to be sure everything is repaired. Pretty weird job, huh?!

Thanks for the pixie dust from all of Virginia Beach. We usually do okay in these storms because we tend to be shielded by the Outer Banks of North Carolina. But there's always a few houses that flood and trees that come down and crush people's cars and homes. People get really crazy when that happens. I had one citizen threaten bodily harm to me when my crews couldn't replace her drainage pipe with a larger one in the height of a storm. I guess I can't blame her because she had 3 feet of water throughout her house. It was a little scary, though.

Well, off to the day...we're on Magic-watch for you guys up here. She should be pulling into the shipyard in the next few days for her makeover. We'll keep you posted.

Cheryl
