It's been so long since I posted that I do believe you might have forgotten me!

It is with great sorrow that I must post this: We aren't going to be going on this cruise with you all
We have a lot of personal issues surrounding this family at this moment and I won't go on and on about them. However, I do have one that I wish to share with you all.
Esther has been diagnosed with cervical cancer and we wish to request your prayers and pixie dust. This has hit Stephen pretty hard and Esther isn't doing real well with it either. Some of you know Stephen and Esther, so, if you will, please keep them in your thoughts.
Thanks so much for your kindness.
I will miss seeing you all and I will miss meeting all the new Nanaheads. This has been a tough year for so many of us. I will continue to peek in every once in a while to say hello and see what you all are up to. We are hoping to go next year. ALL of us!

Terri: My brother-in-law has trouble with sea sickness when crusing....what he was told was (if possible) to go to the top deck, in the open and just look at the horizon......not to look at the water.....he did it and he felt better. He was also told, that staying in the stateroom and lying down just makes it worse. Hope that helps some.

Terri: That is really awsome what your sister started. Sorry to hear that she passed away so young.

I have a cruise ?

Last year was the 1st time DH got sea sick Someone told us to stay on a lower floor? Has anyone heard of this?

Terri, lower decks, mid ship have the least motion.
Plus if he is out and about and feels poorly go to the atrium area to sit, it is very steady compared to the rest of the ship, deck 4 is much better than the upper decks for motion too.

we have been on almost every deck accept 1 and deck 2 had way less motion thant the upper decks.

Midship and then head back towards aft if nothing is open midship. DONT go forward!! That is the worst place on any deck.

Wow..hope house is a wonderful asset to those folks going through treatment for cancer...I have worked with oncology patients in the past and sometimes the treatment is harder than the disease.

Howdy all, Huckledoodledoo its blue burthday. My old hound dog turned 19 today. Ma always makes him up his own cake from a concoction of corn meal, beef stock and peanut butter. All didnt go so well today though, we was wachin ole blue go to town on that cake and Verna go to laughin so hard she lost her bottm teeth in some of the peanut buttery and old blue took to chewin on them and now there no better than bits and pieces of a jugsaw puzzle. Ma will be eating mush til she can get to a tooth doctor to have some more teeth made. I had one of th e eggheads from work come over this weeken and help me send my cruisin pictre to miss woogal, we took it on vacation a couple years ago at a county fair. Gotta go Help ma with the younguns for bed.
