Hope everyone is having a good day. I just got back from the gym and now I have a meeting with my phantom client - a guy who paid me to write a plan for him and now tortures me with meetings every couple of weeks but hasn't yet given the go-ahead to actually start work on the tactics in the plan. And he has a new product he wants to launch in September. I keep telling him we're just about out of time. He claims today is the day he says "go." Believe it when I see it.

I did something really stupid. I volunteered to be the "parent president" of Elizabeth's swim team for next summer. Now if that isn't stupid enough I have taken on the job of lobbying the Y for a year-round swim team (which is pretty astounding that they don't have, actually). My concern is that if they give in and say "yes" to the year round team, am I going to have to be the year round parent president?

Off to work to pay for our bad vacation habit. You know it's bad when airfare for 3 trips shows up on one credit card bill.

Lorna - We got our cruise kit on Saturday. Looks about the same as last year but there is a hat, purse, change purse and notebook in this one that I've been looking for!

I have a few pictures from a hike in the mountains we took on saturday monring.
The trail went along a creek and was shady and cool.

We also have 25 historical covered bridges in the area, so we stopped at 2 of them along the way, I took a few photos of them too.

This is one of the covered bridges we saw. this one you can still drive across. Most you cant they are not safe enough to hold the weight of a car.

its hard to see but a small springs runs into the creek on the far right

rock bed we let the dogs run on next to the creek. It was their first time in the woods. Of course they loved it!

2nd covered bridge. walking or biking only through this one.

inside of the bridge. The 2 top support beams were one solid piece which was amazing because it was about 80 feet long, 16 inches by 12 inches each. That had to be a monsterous size tree before it was trimmed down for the bridge.
