Evening Nanas

Home from decorating class...learned to make a rose :cool1: I'm very excited!!!:hyper:

Cheri-I had no idea about these "disposable" cap and gowns--I have already sealed Joshua's up and put them away in his "box"--why I don't know...years from now do I expect him to put it on again??:lmao: :confused3 :lmao: ....Hey, maybe I can save a buck or two (more like $87) and Chelsea can use his:idea: ....I don't think she'll go for that though ("not another hand-me-down mom")

Work tomorrow...time for bed...nighty night nanas:banana:

Don't I know it ... my baby! :( But we have an agreement ... he's not allowed to be more than 50 lbs. Let's just see if he keeps his end of the bargain.

Last night, Duesey got to experience his first ever major rainstorm. All I know is we had serious bolts of lightening with those crashing-right-next-to-you cracks of thunder. I was sound asleep (about 12:15) and the next thing I know, I have 47lbs of fur huddled next to me! I had to put my arm over him and hold him until it calmed down :lovestruc

Shell,
my sons 90 pound lab is terrified of the storms too. He has a closet he hides in during all storms, but when he is visiting and there is NO closet, well lets say a scared 90 pound bundle of shaking dog trying to jump in your lap is a bit of a challenge:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:
I think your son will be more than 50 from the looks of him.;)
somebody forgot to tell him to stop growing and now it will be too late.

:wave2: Hi all! Thanks for the warm welcome! I've been so excited about planning this last minute trip! I was working on the itinerary today, and noticed that they aren't having a MVMCP the Fri. night before we leave. That stinks!! Now, I may have to push our trip out one extra day, just so we can go to the MVMCP the Sunday night after we return from the cruise. :confused3 Anyone else going that night? I just love it, we HAVE to go!

Now, I'm just worrying how to tell my dh. He will surely flip out, since my friend and I are already planning to go to Disney for 10 nights in September. However, we've decided not to take the kids with us on that trip, and bring them on the cruise instead. At least they'll only miss 6 nights for that one trip. Last year, we took our dd out for 1 week @ Disney & 1 week on DCL in Sept., took her home and changed her from private school to public school. At least those absences didn't count against her (not that that is why we did it!). And, then we did the last minute cruise at the 1st of last December, and she missed 7 days for that trip. It is so hard having to deal with school absences! We'll see how it goes when she doesn't go to Disney with me in September. It should prove to be interesting... ;)

Anyone want to share what excursions they are looking at? I'm sure we'll be doing the Rays, Reef & Rum Point excursion with NativeWay in Grand Cayman again, but I'm up in the air re: Key West & Cozumel this time. Would love to hear some ideas...

Sorry for the long chat, but this is keeping me excited about the trip, rather than the horrid day I had today. I've been quietly job hunting, and have heard that I probably did not get a job that I was hoping for, which would have cut my commute of 30 miles each way, to 2 miles each way! I've been totally bummed today, but I'm just trying to stay positive. :worried:

Have a great night nana's!

Good Morning Everyone!

I hope that everyone had a great Monday. Mine wasn't so bad except that I spent most of the day in the car. Had to drive 3 hours each way for a meeting down in South Georgia. Fun!:lmao:

I will hopefully get to check in a little more frequently today. Will post more later.

Tiffany,

 Hugs from the peanut gallery! It's tough when bad days happen. Hoping today will be better for you! I'm sure a job will turn up that will be perfect for you!

So that's where you were! I wondered!

Good Morning All!

Not much going on around here today. Just the usual sewing and ebay!

Everyone have a great Tuesday!

I'll check to see who has been around a little later!

 Hi Dawn!

Hey everyone. Hope you are all having a great Tuesday. Just got back from swim team practice with Lizzie..now off to take her to day camp. Then there is a swim meet (first of the season) tonight! Somewhere in between all that I must get some writing done. Have a great day!

Tiffany - We will probably go back to Paradise Beach in Cozumel, though we are thinking of Chakaanab Park as well. We had a great time at Paradise on our last Western - it was actually the best day of the cruise. Good food, cheap beer, nice beach, great service, fun all around.

Hi Tiffany! Did you get my PM yet? Can't wait to get your info and pic!

I really want to hear more about this Rays, Reef & Run Point excursion ... just the name is intriguing! As far as other ports ... in Key West, some of us are embarking on the Trey Drunken Walking Tour :rotfl2: (Trey is Tonya's DH and he was actually stationed in Key West while in the Army -- tough life -- and knows the area really well, so we recruited him to be our tour guide/bartender).

In Cozumel, I believe there are several looking at the Dolphin swim, but I also want to find a good native tequila tasting somewhere.

Then in Grand Cayman, some of us are looking into chartering a boat for the day. I guess, really, we've only got a couple of months to decide, so we'd better get moving!

Shell - I pm'd our email addresses for the cruise mate list. Thanks
Yes ma'am, I got it. Will be sending out an update this week with all the Nana newbies ... I mean, virgins ... :rotfl2:

Shell -

Do we need to get t-shirts for Trey's Drunken Walking Tour? or do I need to carry one of those flags like they do in Disneyworld? :rotfl2: Maybe we could wear our shirts from last year. Kim, Dawn & Cheri are you to taking your kids on the walking tour too? They could be designated walkers.

Just checking in, nothing going on. Ah I could work on my spreadsheet for Texas this morning or do nothing but surf the web.

TTYL. Stay out of trouble.

Morning everyone!

I haven't posted any pictures for a while so I thought I put some up of the past few days activities!

Saturday we went to the parade to see DD Nicole riding on one of the floats for her dance team!!

On Father's Day we had my wifes parents over for dinner and grandpa brought the kids some fishing poles!!

Nicole was the only one who caught a fish!! If you can call it a fish......I think it was only about 5 inches long?! :thumbsup2

Holly got a baseball cap that she loved so much she wouldn't take off......she really likes rice crispy treats! :cool1:

Last night we took the kids over to the local go-cart track and let them have some fun! DS Brayden was grinning from ear to ear!! :goodvibes
