Hi Christine,

We are going to Phoenix to visit dad in Easter and Dad wants to spend a couple nights in Vegas. Not sure what to think about taking the girls to vegas again though.

Right now our plans are to go Oct 24th - Nov 1st. We really like going for Christmas but after this year it's just way to close. We have never been there for Halloween or the Food and Wine Festival so it will be something different for us too.

Yeah, we have the family Christmas at our house next year, so that's lots of decorating inside and out, lots of cooking and preparation, so we will probably vacation at a different time than our anniversary. My birthday is in October, so we may cruise then, but we would be home the week you're at Disney. We wanted to do the Mickey's not so scary Halloween this year, but couldn't get there on the right nights for it. The Food and Wine is great, just bring lots of money to try all the different stuff.

We would definitely meet up with you while you're here. You guys are lots of fun!!

Sounds like a plan. Now we just have to hope we can afford it I would really like to go to MNSSHP on Halloween night. We will keep you posted so we can meet up.

We are having winter weather here today. This was our employee notification

A winter weather advisory is in effect today until 10 p.m. Southern Nevada is expecting heavy rain and slippery road conditions throughout most of this week. Employees are encouraged to stay safe with these driving tips:

Be cautious when approaching intersections, which collect higher amounts of oil deposits.
Leave extra space between yourself and the driver ahead to give more time to stop.
Use headlights, which help you to see better and alert other drivers of your presence.
Use center lanes (where the road is highest) when possible to avoid flooding.
Avoid standing water

Everyone panics when it rains because I really think we have the worst drivers in the world here in Vegas.

Yeah, there's not really much for them to do here anymore. Unless they like going in the pool but April is a tricky time here weather wise. Let me know what you decide to do, maybe we could meet you on the strip.

Morning all,

It is 16 degrees today.

Tomorrow is suppose to be freezing rain in the afternoon turning to snow by night.
Even lower tonight for temps.

Our water pipe froze at the faucet even though it was wrapped last night so Greg was out there in the cold with my blow dryer thawing it and then we left the water slowly running in the bathroom to keep it from freezing

Lots of fun.

Greg is trying to get to work right now but I really expect him to have to turn around and coem back again.

If he makes it to work tomorrow with freezing rain coming in I told him to get a hotel room by where he works and stay there tomorrow night. DONT try to drive home.


Ok theres my complaint for the day

We aren't having freezing temps but pretty close. It was 42 on my way into work this morning. Parts are Vegas did get snow that stuck and our mountains are covers in snow. It's so pretty. Looks like powder sugar was sprinkled on them.
