Greg or lisa, are you guys going to race me to the top??
So close to the top, I missed it because of stoopid 40 second rule
Dawn,
the girls did great for the first time.
Of course they were very excited at first.
when we arrived Sheila came out to greet us and both dogs went right to her. Just like the first time they met. My dogs NEVER do that.
Also they crept in the house for 3 or 4 steps then just made themselves to home when we arrived.
They played outside in the yard while I did some paperwork for her.
During the day her dad came to visit and minne went right to him and sat by him almost the entire time he was there getting her ears scratched. Pixie was polite but kept her distance which is normal for her.
Her DH sat in the recliner to do some computer work and watch some football and minnie snuggled next to his chair and napped some while he rubbed her and pixie played with the other dogs.
So Minnie did play with the other dogs but not alot, she preferred the company of the people for lots of rubbing and scratching.
While pixie was more into playing most of the day.
They do a daily report card for both dogs for every visit, so they know how to best work with them.
both dogs got 8 excellants and 2 goods. Nothing below that which was good.
Pixie always takes time to trust people, minnie doesnt. Minnie takes longer to warm up to dogs andis better with people.
The next visit on the 25th should be more relaxing for them. They slept all the way home, then went potty, then slept until Greg got home late last night. They greeted him,, then went right back to sleep until everyone was in bed. They got tucked in and slept until morning.
So they got tired out which is what I want so they will nap good and sleep all night while we are gone.
The people are real dog lovers. Their house is all set up for dogs not people.
all wood floors, old furniture where dogs are welcome. Fenced yard and all dog friendly plants and pesticides. extra dog beds and toys all around the house.
All the downstairs is free for the dogs to run and explore all they want to.
This is a huge expensive house in a weathy part of Salem, I was so shocked to see where it was, then go inside this huge house and see NO carpets or plants, all dog stuff.
They have to go through a background check and some dogs classes where they learn all about dogs and their personalities and how to work with them, also dog first aid. They do have references and are very professional caring people.
fetchpetcare.com I think is their company website. It gives a history of the company and their requirements.
WE got 35% discount even on the day stays since they are connected to a long stay and some for being a new customer and if we were AAA memebers we would of got another 10% off.
They are spendy but you get what you pay for. i feel good about them being there and i know they are safe and well cared for.
she is really easy about the hours of leaving and picking them up.
she writes it up for the company like their policy but she wants to please you and fit your needs, so adjusts to you without the extra charges.
So far I am really pleased.
when we are gone she will send us an e-mail everyday with updates on them and photos of their activities that day too.
Nice for me.
kathy

If we had moisture we would have snow too, but it is dry here.
Our mountains got snow.
