The next month will be busy for us. My DS will be going off to college and we are busy getting him ready. This will be our first trip without him and I know it will feel weird getting on the Magic without him

I am Kathy Congratulations on the wedding

I will be saying hi now and then but it looks like we wont be going this time. But just in case something happens I am staying in touch. We have gone on the cruise on this date 3 years in a row, so it just feels wrong not to be going. I am a Bananahead Just like Jeff

Just got back from a great visit with mom although I about died from heat in her mobile home. She has a window AC that only cools the kitchen and it was 98 outside and no breeze.
Suppose to hit 100 + next saturday.

i will keep in touch but things just arnt going our way for this cruise. House repairs are killing us and more and more things keep showing up we have to take care of with it. But I guess after 19 DCL cruises it was bound to happen we may have to cancel one. But the week after Thanksgiving 2011 is a go!!

Hi, everyone! Just popping in again to subscribe to this thread. DH (Howard) and I are on this sailing with our dear friends Judy (honeibee) and Charlie.

I am hoping our kids --DD21 and DS16 will forgive us someday for going on another DCL cruise without them. They've both been on a few, as well, but this one will be adults only in our party.

Howard and I have WDW Annual Passes from the vow renewal we did at WDW through Disney Fairy Tale Weddings this past January, so we are trying to figure out a way to spend some time at WDW the weekend we get back in port.

Nessa- How exciting to be planning your wedding! You are going to LOVE DCL, too! It is an awesome couple's vacation!

No worries you didnt break the thread.
It is summer and many are just busy with other things right now and a few of us who have been posting because we always go with the bananaheads this week of the year arnt going to be able to go this time So we have been trying to step back and let those who are going have a chance to get aquainted .
We have friends posting here so we have been staying in touch but it isnt fair for us to hog the thread from those who are getting to go, thats another reason it is more quiet right now.

I have PM'd Tonya who hasnt posted, but is booked on this cruise. She was going to create a cruise mates list for all of you and get room numbers for everyone who wants to do the FE exchange. She has been busy so I let her know there are quite a few posting now so its time to get organized around here.

Wish I was still going but you have some great people to cruise with and I am sure they will post soon,

Nice to meet you too Cam.
Who knows maybe you'll go again in 2011?? and we will meet.
We are also booked for 9/18/2010 TA cruise So I am only going one year without a cruise.
I will just have to enjoy my trip to Disneyland this fall to help me get my Disney fix this year but I will be watching for all of you guys to post trip reports with photos when you return

I will also pop in from time to time to say hello or answer a question like i did today when nobody else is around.

Hi all! Welcome to all the new posters. How exciting that there will be a wedding on the ship!!! Are we invited?? I can cry at anyone's wedding, even those I don't know!!

It's been busy here at home. DD had her big dance team performance on Friday at Ellis Island. It was great! She did a fabulous job and got over her anxiety with her earlier performance at the nursing home. Apparently the people there liked them and did some "chair dancing" to the music. DD thought the residents were great.

At Ellis Island, it was mostly the parents and grandparents that made the trip out. The island itself was pretty crowded and I'm sure some others stopped to watch for a little bit but it was quite warm and humid so most were probably headed back inside for the coolness! Can't say I blame them.

Okay, now I think I broke the thread.

Nessa - My DD wants to know if you are getting married on the ship or on Castaway Cay. There was a wedding on CC on our first cruise. She is now convinced that CC is the most beautiful place in the world to be married. So my 9 yo thinks it should be on the island!!

Hope everyone is having a good week. We are heading to the big Hot Air Balloon Festival this weekend. The blond girl from Camp Rock (Megan something) will be performing. My DD and her friend are all excited. Should be a zoo!!

How is everyone doing? Sorry we have been missing in action but swim team had taken over my life. Now that it's over Mina has girl scout day camp this week (she's the leader) and then we head out on vacation in 2 weeks.

Allison, did you by chance see my big face on the PR Newswire building last week? My company just entered into an agreement to assist the Kilimanjaro Education Foundation (KEF) with communications and PRN ran that news and my big face on its screen outside its HQ on 7th avenue.

The balloon festival is in Readington Twp, NJ. It's the Quick Chek HABalloon Festival. They do a good job but it gets really crowded. And they are doing a glow on Saturday night. I'm not sure if we are sticking around for that. We'll see how the day goes. I used to date a pilot so I've been to PLENTY of festivals up and down the east coast. They are beautiful. Of course I married a man afraid of heights so it looks like romantic rides are out for me.

I know I know!!! Those girls can scream can't they?!! Where do they get that lung capacity? And DD's friend that is going with us can screech with the best of them. DD is more like me and doesn't get into that sort of thing (thank goodness) so it's all the more obvious when we are around kids the scream.

I missed you! Sorry about that. When I walk around the city I usually look down so that I don't step in anything.

And great job about the KEF deal. I can't believe I missed it. I work on 6th. It was so beautiful last week that I was out walking every day. Darn.

Spoke with our TA today and she informed me that DCL has gone back to just 2 dinner times, 5:45 and 8:15. There is also a casual dinner option with a menu rather than a buffet. We are at second dinner. We took ourselves off the wait list for first dinner. Want to try second dinner for a change. Have always had first dinner in the past.
