11/27/04 the sequel.....

Ok fellow cruisers....Some of you read and posted about me proposing to my GF onboard on the 11/27 cruise. I'm having a fear that I bump into one of you onboard and you say...Ohhh are you engaged yet! And it would spoil the who suprise! :earseek: I just wanted to say..please don't ask about it if you bump into me. (unless you see a sparkly ring on my GF) :smooth: lol

Thanks so much for understanding!! Phew!! That makes me feel better! ::yes::

Thanks again!

Travis

I think drowning our sorrows sounds as good as tea if it doesn't pan out. Hopefully the early people at the port can get the ressies.
I won't be there til about noon so don't count on me.

Can't wait to get out of here and away from the kid's homework. DD is in 5th grade and her teacher is psychotic with about 3 hours a night.

DS 13 is a procrastinator like April's son- he also wanted to hand in a project when we get back. Sure let's waste this nice vacation doing a social studies project.

Today I went to Office Depot for Magnet Paper for our door sign and I saw they had these black nylon badge holders you can wear around your neck. I thought these would be great for the kids so they don't lose their KTTW and there's a zippered compartment in the back for cash. They were only $3.50- What a bargain.

It's the little things that excite me as we draw closer....

Gosh...ever had one of those days when you look at the calendar and wonder where the last three months have gone cuz there is NO way it can be November 11th already??! :earseek: I simply cannot believe that we are two weeks away from cruising with the Mouse...well, and Curt too! :smooth:

Got back from Arizona a few days ago and having trouble getting my act in gear! So I totally understand all those who have posted concerning forgetting everything they had previously planned...that's me to a tee! I really need to stop procrastinating and send out the second to last family cruiseletter on embarkation...I don't know why I'm draggin' my feet. I have to say, though, that coming home from the Southwest has made the holidays so much more real...ahh, winter is comin' soon! (she types as she is wrapped up in a blanket, sipping hot tea with a fat cat warming her toes)

I will be working on my magnetic door signs (gotta make four of 'em, you know!) this weekend...that's my goal. Also will be laminating Mickey heads and driving my husband crazy with all my little DIS idiosyncrasies!

Now for a little survey...as in "What are YOU packing?":
For the ladies How many pairs of pants are you packing?
What are you planning on wearing onto the ship?
Dare I even ask...how many shoes are you bringing?

Gotta go finish cooking dinner...just wanted to say "hi" to you all!
:p IVY :p

Ivy- I'll be overpacking as usual. I think most of my outfits will be capris with nice tops for dinner. I am bringing 2 dresses and I'm trying to get away with only 1 pr dress sandals- black.:teeth:

SandyNY - one pair of black sandals oh my! You are goooooood! I am an overpacker! I'm most nervous about what to put my sons in in the evening. They are jeans and t-shirt kind of guys.

I am packing two dress (formal/semi-formal) and capris and tops.

Can hardly believe we will be sailing soon. We also have had a ton of tests and projects lately, but that comes with the end of the reporting period. Hopefully, all will quiet down.

See you soon!
Jennifer

Jennifer- I'm not making my son 13 get too dressed up- We picked up some button down shirts (although they have flames and another has skulls) to wear with navy and black docker type pants. I know he won't get formal but he does have a white button down with a tie (no jacket). I think this is the best I can hope for.
Why make the kids miserable, as long as they look presentable I'm sure it will be fine.
Sandy

Hi everyone,

I can't believe that 2 weeks from right now I'll be sitting at LAX waiting to board the plane.
I've had the flu for the past week and a half, but have been feeling much better yesterday and today. It was awful, fever, chills, sore throat, coughing, sneezing, heachache, body aches, it was not fun. :sad2: I felt like an ad for a cold medicine. :earseek:
I can't wait to start packing this weekend.

Nite,

Sooz :flower:

Sandy--my DS12 doesn't mind wearing a jacket as long as I don't come within 12 feet of him with a tie in my hand. He's actually big enough (or more likely I'm small enough) that he can wear one of my sport jackets, so it will double for his formal and my semi-formal provided it doesn't end up "a splendid navy blue jacket with a stunning white ranch dressing stripe down the front".

Friend_of_Piglet--I know how you feel. We just went through another warm/cold weather combination (they're predicting snow this weekend) and I believe the cold and flu season has officially begun. At our house that means weeks of passing colds back and forth as everyone insists on sneezing in each other's faces (I truly think they have a scorecard on it hidden somewhere). I hope you get feeling better soon.

Ivy--I am honored! To be placed on the same line as Mickey brings a tear to my eye. Well, actually I started bawling uncontrollably, but I think it had to do with the Snow White outfit.

Everyone have a good day. I'm off today to run about with my DS3 and purchase fun things for the cruise while Steph tries to get a base tan lounging in the back yard in our 30-degree weather.

Ok guys we may have a problem. I just got off the phone with Debbie and she said that I could only book two spots. She did not see your reservation Denise because I asked to be linked to your name. (I told her that you had 5 spots and she said that she did not have your name or anyone who had reserved 5 spots. She also said that they only have room for 22 people at anytime. The only time available was Sunday at 330. If any of you girls have an REAS you might want to call. I have two spots and know that DH isn't going to go for tea with me. We may need a different plan. Just let me know. Sorry:(

Sorry guys, have been super busy and (gasp) haven't checked the boards. I just noticed my TA never responded to my email which is very unlike her. Before I sent it again, I wanted to see where we stood on this. Do we still want to make it Sunday at 3:30 or are people scrapping this idea? I flexible either way. Let me know what the consesus. I don't know if I'm able to make 5 becase of the # in my party or not. Who knows, maybe TA made a mistake and I can only make them for 2. What does everyone want to do now?

Hi guys!

Just to make us all jealous . . .Traceycooper should be at her overnight stay at the airport tonight (already for us here) and flies out tomorrow. Say a prayer and "cross your fingers" for her! Atleast someone is starting their trip!!!! I guess it is a good thing it isn't me! I am no where near ready!

Flying to Chicago this morning to help my DH on business. Should be a fun, but quick trip. We are flying home Sunday morning. Probably will start some Christmas shopping on Sunday. With the cruise coming so quickly we haven't started that!!! I may hit Michican Ave Saturday morning for a quick run! I will have to see if the Disney Store is still there!

Hope everyone has a great week-end! Looking forward to reading your 12 pages when I get back! LOL!!!

Is it still there? I have been there quite a few times, but not since they closed all of those Disney stores. I can't imagine they would have closed that one. It was usually pretty busy when I was there!! I let you know what I find!!!

I think its there. BTW, bring lots of warm clothes, we're next door to Curt and it is freezing here all of the sudden. We'll be in the city Sun morn to meet friends for brunch but you will probably be on your way out of town :(
Kim

I would honestly say - I would enjoy tea in Palo's or some really cool drink of the day by the pool. Totally up to everyone else. Just let me know - it is pouring down rain here and my office is nice and quiet for now - playing some Manheim steamroller meets the mouse. It is taking me to my "special place". I am trying to get everything done so that next week I can just breeze through the four work days I have left. Well Tracey (I know you won't see this) here's hoping for blue and non-turbulant skies for the three of you? See you at Cape Canaveral.

I think we should still try for Sunday afternoon and see how it goes. Plan B we can go meet in a bar!?!

I agree with Sandy. We'll try for high tea on Sunday and if it doesn't work, we can always go for REALLY high tea at the bar!

Kim--I just realized how close you are to us. You're right, it is freezing here. I read this morning that the snow forecast was gone but the cold temperature and wind.....I saw Orlando was 82 today--can't wait!

I'm getting so excited I can hardly think about anything else!!!!

Yes Curt, its freezing and i can't wait to be in the sun :sunny: !!!

OK, I'll try for a tea ressie too and see what happens.

Okay now it's offical, everyone at work thinks I'm crazy. Today it started to rain, sleet and then snow and I was loving it. My co-workers couldn't undestand why. All I could think about was in less than 2 weeks I will be basking in the warm sun. In 15 days I'll still be doing the same only with the drink of the day in hand and the biggest smile ever. The anticipation is almost too much. It certainly sounds like everyone is super busy getting for this cruise. Hope you all have a great weekend.
