Do you guys know when formal night is? The passporter says Thursday but I'm not sure how up to date that is. I'm trying to decide when to book Palo for dinner.

I hope my kids will go to the clubs or maybe I can park them in a movie while we dine that night.

Hello everyone! It has been awhile since my last post, but I have been getting a kick out of reading yours

I am doing pretty good with packing. I have even set the tip $'s aside. Formal nite, however is totally stressing me out

I was going to buy white dinner jackets, etc. for Pat and the boys but it got to be such a hassle. Now I am back to ground zero and a little frazzeled. Why am I letting this stress me. I would welcome any advice. I just want to be sitting in one of those comfy deck chairs and looking at the sunset with my hubby.

This always confuses everyone! If it hasn't changed since last year, here is the way they do it. Sunday night (2nd night) is formal night but the menu will be the normal rotation dinner for whatever dining room you are in. Thursday night is semi formal night, but the menu is the Captains Gala with the Lobster Dinner as one choice. Quite honestly, I never notice much difference in the way people dress between those two nights. If you go to Palo on the semi formal night, lobster is available there too.

I've been meaning to ask you the same question we were always asked when people found out we had seven kids...Are you a Mormon, a Roman Catholic, or just a Sex Fiend?

Good morning everyone! I see Bob has posted a perplexing question for me today. I just KNEW there would be a test!

Interesting question, Bob. The wine tasting should have been a giveaway. When we go places people simply ask "What parish do you belong to?" Sex fiend? I so wish. Though I AM paying for my many sins of the past (being a good Roman Catholic, I HAVE to feel guilty--it's my job), sex fiend isn't one of them--five of the six are adopted (all 5 are siblings). As to even be a contender for the sex fiend status, consider this scenario--wine-slurping Roman Catholic dressed as Snow White with six kids--it's doubtful I will EVER see that side of life again! Like I said--I'm paying for sins of the past and I suppose this is a just punishment.

Jennifer - my two oldest guys (DH & DS - soon to be 16) will be wearing suits, but my youngest DS (11) will be wearing a blue blazer and a pair of navy blue pants we got at Old Navy. I got the blazer off of Ebay. Don't stress about it, I'm sure they'll look spiffy no matter what they wear!

I tried on my formal dress the other night. Thank goodness it wasn't as snug as it was 2 weeks ago! But I have to tell you I was shocked at my lily white legs! What a nice contast they made against the black dress and sandals I had on! I should fit in real well the first night when we see the Animator's Palate show. If the white legs weren't bad enough, I realized that I've gotten my Grandmother's arms! When did that happen???? I thought about quickly going on a crash diet/exercise program, but then I thought to myself, Hey, that would be dishonest and all my DIS friends wouldn't be meeting the real me! (This is your warning everyone - I front for noone!)

I woke up about 2 a.m. with this terrible thought--what if they refuse to allow me to make high tea ressies for 9 or 10 people? Anyone know if that will be an issue with them? Or are they more like our State Healthcare Licensing Board--as long as you send them the money, they'll let you do anything. Sorry, I just got my re-licensing stuff yesterday and that was pretty much the procedure: 1. Are you still alive? 2. Send us the money!

Thanks, Denise. You're right--I'm starting to get unraveled--well actually, that's my Snow White outfit, but my mind isn't doing well either. Only 17 days to go and now I'm beginning to panic.

That would probably be good. We have to reserve Flounders for our DS3--our accelerated potty-training effort failed--so we'll just reserve both times based on the Navigator for now.

I promised myself I wasn't going to panic until the last minute - so that is what I am going to do. I have started worrying about my dog and cat and if they will be ok for the two weeks we are away. I shouldn't though since my neighbour watches them and at least they are together to keep each other company. (they are almost as bad as the kids sometimes when they play). I am at work and should be doing my work but have to take a peek once in awhile to see if anyone has posted anything. I like the thought of wine tasting but I am not much of a wine drinker - I like to stick to the hard stuff. DH rarely drinks at all so I quess I am the family lush.............and at least we have a designated driver so no one has to worry about having too much. I don't know if anyone asked this before but can we call Debbie and add the tea to our REAS? If we all do that we should have room for everyone. Just a thought. Have a great morning everyone.

Hi all, DD & i had the injections & glad to report all is well, the receptionist had made me think that we had got to have about 5, but it was only one!!
