Ok i need help, i contacted FL tours for a quote to get to the port from All Stars Movies, they quoted me $200 this is $50 more than DCL bus but we thought it was worth the extra so we can get to the port earlier, when i e-mailed them to say we would like to book, they said it was $230!! Dont think DH will go for that, can anyone recommend a good town car service, preferably one who we can pay when we get there, that has a more reasonable cost?

Tickets STILL havent come & we fly out in less than 2 weeks, starting to worry, theme park tickets not come either.

We don't drink expensive wines and I only like white - Asti and White Zin ... definitely not high class wine drinkers. We used to go to the Finger Lakes (NY) every year and tour the winerys, but I think we'll skip the wine tasting on the ship.

Last year we were joking that if they had beer tasting we would go for that. And guess what .... we walked into Diversion one afternoon when Matt was in the club and they were having beer tasting. It was lots of fun - beer and a trivia game. What more can you ask for? We're going to try to do that again this year.

Of course ... it means getting Matt to the club and he only went two or three times last year before he started complaining. I'm hoping that he meets some of his pen pals and wants to go to the club a few more times this trip.

There is a local (port area) shuttle company. Not fancy limo's but nice equipment. In your case, probably a 7 pax mini van. They are Arts Shuttle. I called them and for 3 people from the AllStar Resort to the port is $75.00. I have seen their vehicles around and they look fine. I think several of the port area hotels use them for their guests.

The lady I talked to said she would need a credit card # to confirm the reservation, and it would be very helpful if you had a cell phone # while here so they could contact you if needed. Anyway, their telephone # is 321 783 2112 or 800 567 5099. They also have a website, but I'm not sure you can make reservations over it. It is www.artsshuttle.com

Our docs arrived yesterday!
If anyone's adding it up, our two cabins were also booked through DU. So maybe we DU cruisers will get a bonus . . . always nice to have a surprise.

Checked out the snorkel gear to ensure all is well. . . put on the the fins for extra special effect. . . very attractive footwear.

Dragged a suitcase up to a spare room to start the packing, which will make it much easier to put the summer clothees away -- might have to make an early winter cruise an essential part of fall cleaning

Have already made a change to our excursions -- decided to spring for the Champagne Sail in St. Thomas, rather than the barefoot.

Tux's are ordered -- Ddad is quite tickled -- he's 72 and never worn one. Mom is fussing about finding a nice dress for the 'Captain's thingy'.

Thanks, dtuleya for keeping those ever-chaning lists up to date -- that's quite a job.

Oh -- and the Canadian dollar keeps going up which means one really important thing -- more mai tai's by the pool!!

I am not a wine or beer drinker - so I personally will skip those but DH would probably be interested in the beer tasting since in his younger (much younger) days he managed bars and restaurants. We have all signed up for parasailing but I am thinking of calling and cancelling since DS's have changed their minds. maybe next time. I think I am more interested in seeing if we can spot the sunken mickey and the sub from 20,000 leaques. Does anyone remember that ride? boy did I ever feel closed in on that one! Today is DS's 9th birthday and tomorrow is DMIL's so I will have two days of celebrations and despite being born on holloween she has never been a witch to me - I am very lucky. OK everyone have a great rest of the weekend.

Love the door sign!! I have volunteered to make them for all four rooms but did give the others an opportunity to offer any suggestions on characters to represent them! Though if they don't give me any suggestions, I get to pick...which could get interesting. I "get" to go to Phoenix this next weekend (4th-8th) for a wedding on DH's side of family...if I live through it, I'll focus on the door signs! Gotta have goals, you know!

As far as booking with DU...we have four more rooms to add to the bunch! I think that brings the total to 12 so we definitely deserve something special.

We also booked our pre-cruise hotel on Priceline for the person who was asking...very easy to do. Actually my Mom (Linda) handled it all, and we got a 3 star hotel with airport shuttle and free full breakfast with pool and weight room for ~$43/night/room. Very happy! We're staying at the Clarion near MCO. I think we'll all be arriving from early to mid afternoon so it should be a good time for relaxin' by the pool.

Younger sis (Tiffany) and I chatted for quite a while last night concerning the cruise and the "logistics" of embarking with a large group. I'm making Palo ressies (brunch, tea, and dinner for family) and she's getting our spa ressie. I figure anyone can "hang" with us if they want to get their own additional Palo/spa ressie; if they don't want extra ressies, then maybe Mom can herd them toward the food! I don't want to be so "regimented" that I'm like Julie the cruise director saying, "Okay! Now we're all going to eat! Forward...march!" complete with flag and whistle. However, if we don't have a plan, the "boys" (nephews Matt and Micah) will probably take off to explore the ship, never to be heard from again! (And I'm signing a cadavit, just in case...if you see two extremely cute teenage boys running wild, please do not hold that against me. They don't get out much! ) Those with larger families...how are you planning embarkation with ressies and such??

That's about it in my neck of the woods...our Halloween crowd was dismal! It was the first year DH and I were home for Halloween in our new house-the past two years we have been enjoying WDW in all its Halloween splendor. Needless to say, we both wore our "Happy Halloween" glow-in-the-dark lanyards complete with speciality Halloween pins. Just because! I even hung out our "It's a Pirate's Life for me!" flag with our pal Pirate Mickey. Yep...we're Disney geeks! DH even dressed up as a WDW tourist for spirit week at the local high school where he teaches. We just can't get away from it!

Ivy - I have no idea how you are going to get so many people on the ship and organized the first day. Good Luck!! LOL .... I have trouble with just 3 of us. My 2 guys don't like the "run here" ... "wait in line" ... "now go here" .... but they are happy with the results. And it really is only a few hours the first day.
