Before vacation I had lost 5 lbs due to stress at work, but I've gained it back since going to Disney World. Here's where we ate:

Flying Fish: food was fine, but service sucked. Waiter had terribly thick accent, hard to understand. He disappeared for a long while and then came back and told us about another table treating him rudely. Then he lost my husband's credit card and had to go in the back and find it.

Rainforest Cafe at AK: better than I expected. We don't usually go to chain restaurants on vacation, and I had heard mixed reviews, but it was actually good. I got the Rasta Pasta-had lots of chicken and broccoli. Husband had paella. Server was pretty good.

Artist Point: Wonderful!! The scallops were to die for. Husband got some sort of cocktail and the waitress (Becky) even brought out the recipe for it.
Nice ambiance. Service was great-she must get great tips.

Brown Derby: Had lunch here. Both got the grouper and it was very good.

Palio: First time here, now it's a favorite. Had the Tortelloni with Lobster. Great tasting fresh pasta. Husband had MahiMahi. Waitress (Nancy) was great here also. Awesome chocolate mousse cake for dessert!!

Garden Grove at Swan: lunch-Cheeseburgers and fries. Was pretty good.

Bluezoo: Very trendy place. Had large menu to choose from. Expensive, but nice for a splurge dinner.

Tony's Town Square in MK: lunch-1/2 chicken panini and soup. The butternut squash soup was terrific!! I've never had that kind of soup, but would like the recipe.

Teppanyaki in Epcot: Scallops and Shrimp-it was fine. The chef was not very exciting, but I think was she was kind of new, so that's expected.

Yacht Club Cafe: sandwiches for lunch were OK.

Wolfgang Puck Cafe: Surprisingly one of our least expensive dinners, but it was very good. I had the pumpkin ravioli and loved it. Husband had some kind of fish? He usually orders seafood so I lose track of which one he had where.

LeCellier: Lunch portions aren't huge, so it's good for a small appetite. Both had the Petite Filet Mignon with cream cheese mashed potatoes. Very tasty. Whiskey chocolate cake was also good.

Palio: Liked it so much on Monday, went again on Friday. Excellent food again.

Hope this helps someone decide where to go.
This board was very helpful when I was planning our trip. I think my husband thought I was crazy for spending so much time online looking at hotels and restaurants and park info. But he's thankful that I did when we go to good restaurants to eat and have a good time.

Thanks for posting these!
Someone told me that the Flying Fish is the best seafood restaurant on property...I've never eaten there, but am torn between going there, or Coral Reef. I've heard mixed reviews on Coral Reef, but again, have never been there and it seems like it might be fun. Does anyone have any opinions?

I'm glad you had a good time and I enjoyed your reviews!!
Just curious--how were you (and other patrons) dressed at Palio?? There was a recent thread about what sort of dress code they might have, not being an "official" WDW restaurant.
Were the muscians playing the nites you were there?

Thanks for your reviews!

We're still thinking about our meal plans for our trip in January. With a party of 6, we are trying to nail down at least one ADR for a TS each day of the trip. This trip we'll be focusing more on character TS meals since the kids enjoy them so much. I think that will be less important when DW and I return next December without the kids for our belated 10th anniversary trip...

Concerning the dress code at Palio:
The first night we went there I wore khaki pants and a sweater set and sandals. But there was a conference going on at the resort and a lot of "computer geeks" were there and not dressed up at all. The second time we went I had on jeans and a fleece top because it was cool out and we had been at Epcot all day. Even then, I didn't feel out of place. Our waitress, Nancy remembered us from before and was very nice.

Oh, I forgot to mention breakfast. Most days we just had a muffin or danish from the bakery but we did have a big breakfast buffet twice. One of them happened to be a character breakfast even though we didn't plan for that.
We have no children and Pluto and Goofy just stopped by and waved or shook our hands. Fine with us. But we watched them go to each table and stop to see each child, not just the table as a whole. Every kid got his own time to interact with the character. I thought that was nice.

Sorry I forgot the musicians. Yes, there was at least one strolling musician there each time we went. And don't forget if you love chocolate, they have the best mousse cake.

Each day Bluezoo has a few different fish that you can get grilled on their teppanyaki grill and choose your sauce to go with it. I had grouper with the crabmeat, chives and dijon mustard sauce. Your fish is separate on your plate and they give you a tiny copper saucepot of the sauce to spoon on yourself. Off to the side was a little polenta with some kind of small salad greens on top. Our appetizer was the jumbo garlic shrimp-I think there were 4 shrimp on top of a thin layer of polenta. It's hard to keep track of which seafood my husband orders everywhere, but I think he got swordfish and it came with a little side dish that they called "paella-flavored". He said there were a couple of shrimp and clams in it and if I remember correctly there was rice under it. It was all very good. Again, the atmosphere was very trendy and contemporary. Service was pretty good, our waitress was Vanessa.
