This is my first restaurant reviews so be patient please
..
DH (30) BIG eater, believes eating is something you have to do, not an experience (i.e. wants food to arrive within 10 minutes of ordering it). Usually asks the waiter/waitress where the rest of his meal is (if the steak weighs less than 10 ounces it should be considered an appetizer. )
Me, DW, (24) a grazer, would be happy if all meals consisted only of appetizers and dessert.
Wednesday 11/24
We got into MCO at 11am and were STARVING (5am flights can do that to youJ.) We had planned on stopping at Wal-Mart to pick up some snacks so we ending up inhaling granola bars, Oreos and peanut butter crackers in the parking lot of Wal-Mart. We were able to check into our room at RPH early and decided to walk around City Walk after taking a nap. DH very quickly found Starbucks and we visited there at least twice a day for Peppermint Mocha Frappachinos (spelling??) I promised DH dinner at the Nascar Café (hes a huge fan.) He ordered the steak which he loved (and was decent sized) and I ordered the chicken tenders served on mashed potatoes with gravy. The chicken was okay, not bad but not wonderful. It was interesting sitting there watching cars crash on TV. I did ask the manager if anyone died in any of these wreaks and she claimed a couple drivers were injured but no one was shown dying. The waiter was obnoxious which is corny script but my DH was in heaven. The meal with two drinks was less than $40 which is a bargain for a sit down meal.
Thursday 11/25
Breakfast - Orchid Court
I had a bagel and DH had a muffin. We both had coffee. Cost $11
Lunch - Thunder Falls Terrace
We ended up here by chance. DH was hungry and smelled chicken. He ordered the ½ chicken meal and I got the PB & J kids meal (I really wasnt hungry.) DH thought the food was wonderful and I thought it was gross. My sandwich was club style so it had three piece of bread and was taken out of a refrigerator (I watched), cut into fourths and placed with greasy fries. Cost $19.00 (I think the kids meal was close to $5.00)
Dinner - Pastamore
This was a pleasant surprise! I had planned on pasta for dinner (we had an early Thanksgiving dinner at home) and we walked in and were immediately seated. They were offering a Thanksgiving Dinner special and for $18.00 DH and I each had a Caesar Salad, Turkey, Stuffing, Potatoes, Yams, wonderful bread and a choice of pumpkin or pecan pie. We both enjoyed the meal and left stuffed. This is now a must do on our list.
Friday 11/26
Lunch - Monster Café
We were starving at 11 and stopped at the Monster Café (DH smelled rotisserie chicken) for lunch. He got the ½ chicken meal and I got vegetable primavera which was yummy. Cost $16.00 (I didnt get a drink)
