I think Shell has one Bob.... I'll coax her to give it up. As for football being as important as cruise vacations....two words.... pu lease. Get your plane tickets, we'll keep you updated and you can always tivo the game. Take one for the "team" buddy. We need you and Lisa on this cruise.

Bob if the game is televised maybe you could have them turn it on in Diverions for you to watch. They have several TV's in there and I have seen 4 or 5 different events on them at the same time.
Plus I have seen people ask the bar tender in Promenade lounge to switch the TV's from news to sports before and they gladly did it.

we will all understand if we dont see you the first day unless we come to you in the sports bar where you would be watching the game.

Please give it some serious thought!! With all the illnesses we never got to visit as much as we all wanted to, so this would be the chance to make up for it.

Who else can I depend on to find my camera again if i get excited and drop it again??? Nobody!!!

I did send you a picture of the G house, tell me if I didnt do it right and I will try again. Then if a few others send some you will have a selection to choose from.

Kathy

You good parents and your crazy need to have your kids in your pictures!:confused3
Bob, you know darn well if we (youze guyz and us'ns) could've taken the furry children they would have been in every photo we took!

Hello all: Welcome to New years weekend.

Our plans....dreamboat and myself will most likely go out for a early dinner then spend the rest of the evening here at home. Thats our "norm". its much safer and I dont like huge crowds.

Well I went to work this morning and at 8:45 I go a phone call from my daughter. I knew that she was leaving Iraq on 12-27 and was waiting to here about her flight info. Well when she calls this morning...she is in Atlanta and will be home in 2 hours. So here's me....bye everyone...going to get my daughter at the airport. So I worked a whole 45 minutes today....
When we got to the airport, I asked security if we could go to the gate. We had to go up and talk with the airline she was coming in on. (delta) So we go and get in line....we ask the girl and that was fine....they let family's of military go to the gates....so we got a "boarding type pass" and waiting for he to get off the plane. It was so nice to see here. She looked good...still in her uniform....So she is home safe and Louie was sooooo excited to see her...it was so cute to watch him with her. She will be home for 2 weeks then has to go back for 8 more months.:scared:

Well you all have a good evening....talk with ya all later.....

Denise,
enjoy your visit with DD and I will let you know if anybody says anything about the lamp.;)
I will turn it on for the next few nights to see if anyone notices it??

well we just finished watching Ice age the meltdown and now it's time to get cleaned up and off to bed.

Night all,

Kathy

Denise: so glad your DD is home for the New Year-what a great way to start off the New Year:cool1:

Kathy: love the leg lamp  :cutie:

Bob: if I hadn't lost my camera I had a great shot of the ginger bread house..I have kept hoping some kind soul would return it..but nope:mad:

Lynn:  I hate dental problems-send your DH some pixiedust: from me.

Any of you that are DVC members, can you tell me how soon I should book this Nov's cruise-do the rooms go fast-cat. 9 that is...

HAPPY 2007 TO EVERYONE

Okie, I dont know how DVC membership works, but usually the earlier you book the better it is. I would book NOW, then it's a done deal and you wont have to keep wondering and worrying about it. Plus each months the price creeps up a little, so it is always a better price the earlier you book it.

I dont know if that matters for DVC memebers or if your pricing is different from ours.

Have a good day everyone,

Tell Josh and Rick they need to post more often too!!!

Kathy

Hey everyone:

Whassup??? :cool1: Bill and I are getting ready to take our 2 oldest nephews (20 and 16) to the Barcelona art exhibit at the Cleveland Museum of Art today. The oldest one is studying Catalonian culture and is fluent in spanish, so this is part of his Xmas present. I told him he's never seen an art exhibit until he has with Uncle Bill explaining the periods and techiniques to him. This particular exhibit features Dali, Miro, Gaudi and Picasso. Should be fun. Then afterwards I think we'll stop at Bahama Breeze to eat and pretend that we're still somewhere in the Carribbean  .

For New Year's Eve, we're heading to my sister's like we do every year ... lots of finger food and games. Probably home before midnight as I hate to be on the roads when any drunks are out.

Like Jeff, my Italian mother has drilled into my head that you HAVE to have pork and sauerkraut for New Year's Day, so I'm modifying my crock-pot pork chop recipe to do it with a pork roast. It never occurred to me that everyone doesn't do the pork and sauerkraut thing until I was talking to a friend in Jersey who said he had no idea what I was referring to! Isn't it interesting how we're all in the same country yet our cultures are so different? I think I've heard that southerners do black-eye peas (no, not the one with Fergie :rotfl2: ) for good luck on New Year's. Anyone have other good luck traditions?

Gotta get moving ... see ya!

Shell, when are you mailing my shoes to me????

For New Years I will be at work, but as far as traditions go, we have black eyed peas and cabbage, for luck and money.
Then we usually have a cake since my birthday is the next day

Gotta run I am at work...
Wendy

 wow, we really had a quiet day on the boards today.
Guess everyone is out doing fun stuff for new years .

I will stop by tomarrow to see how things are going for everyone,

Kathy

Good morning everyone!:wave2:

It's a gray rainy day here. I think we saw the last of the sun in 2006 a few days ago.:sad2: :sad2:

Not much going on around here; just catching up on laundry, etc.:laundy:

We don't really have any New Year's traditions. Some years we go out on NYE, and others we just stay home. Still not sure what we'll do tonight -- Bears & Packers are on and DH will get to watch them in HD, so we may stay put.

Bob, I agree with everyone else -- you'll be able to catch the football game on board. Not the same as being there, but a cruise is certainly a good excuse to watch it on TV. I expect to see that question mark gone by the end of the week!!!:thumbsup2

Have a good one all!:yay: :yay:

Cheri:banana:

P.S. Denise, so glad to hear your DD is home safe! Maybe she'll have a talk with Louie about his destructive behavior!!:rotfl:
