11/24/07 We are Better Than Leftovers!!! Nana Head reunion

Good Morning All:

I can't promise that we will be on the reunion cruise. We have planned a trip to WDW and a 3 day WONDER in July. If things fall through on that trip (it would be bad for me to wish for it), we will most definately be with you guys. We have to wait to see what Jr High DS gets into before making any really big "take the kids out of school" plans, but I can wish and hope.

Even if we don't go I will get a shirt, so that I won't look out of place in 08.

can you share the name and address of the printer you used for our shirts. Just in case you dont go we can know who to contact about new shirts. They did a great job.
Billis working on some design, I think Cheri has volunteered to help him too.

Kathy...just remember...if we go through a designer/printer....all copyright laws apply ( I think Tonya had some problems with Disney images) if'n ya know what I mean. Gonna have to do a lil research on what can and can't be done.

I'm sure your probably right Bill. But a turkey and banana arnt disney, just using disney characters would be the problem, I think.

It is cold and windy tonight. I was going to step out and watch the shuttle go off, after dark I can see it from my house, but It will probably be too cold with my head cold to do it. Maybe I can see it from upstairs windows??

Tomarrow is Friday already!!!

Our logo is a work in progress still. Bill is working on it and Cheri has offered to help if needed. we'll let you know when we figure it out.
We have less than a year
Wish you and wally were coming too.
Maybe something awesome will happen and you'll be able to join us, you never know. We have done 3 trips on the spur of the moment!!!

The darn old clouds came in, so NO launch!!! Maybe this weekend. I love the night launches because it looks like a big fire ball in the sky.

Tonya -- we'll keep our fingers crossed that DS gets to go to the Jr High that encourages kids (and offers extra credit due to the educational opportunities) to take time off from school to spend a week with family on a cruise!!!!!!

As far as shirts -- I'm sure we can come up with some twist of the Nana head thing that won't infringe upon any copyrights. All returning Nanas should bring & wear their 2006 shirts one day. In seven years, we won't have to worry about what to pack because we'll all be wearing lime green shirts every day!!! After that, I guess we'll have to coordinate designs for our evening wear. . .

Denise -- I see you & Wally are just forcing us to slave away so we can also afford 11/2008!!!

Kathy -- in your expert opinion, is a person better off making a ressie for a 11/2008 cruise within the next few months, or waiting until the 11/07 cruise to rebook while on board?? Would the discount and onboard credits cancel out the price increase over the next 11 months???

As if I needed something else to obsess about. . .

Cheri: I would just book now, you wont lose anything. If you find it cheaper to re-book on board, maybe they can apply your deposit or just cancel on your own....did this just make any sense? I know what I'm trying to say..it just dosnt seem to be coming out right

Yep, I won a 42" plasma TV. I couldn't believe it. I have never won a drawing in my life. My husband is beside himself. He is going to hook it up tonight. Do you think I can pass that off as a Christmas present

Wow. I have NEVER worked for a corporation that does it like that. Dinner at a local restaurant maybe. A plasma tv no way. Geez they do it up right in Vegas! Now that I have my own company, I may have to have a one-man drawing for a big prize. Maybe another cruise?

I agree with Denise,
book ASAP so you have the lowest prices before they start creeping up, then on your 07 cruise go to the rebooking desk and ask what the difference would be in price. They will tell you and if you want to they will rebook it right on the spot, which ever is to your advantage. That way all your bases are covered!!!

Around 30 years ago I won a 19 inch color TV and it was really a big deal back then. It was my first and only time winning something too. oops, once in high school I won a live duck for my singing talents
But a Plasma, WOW!! Maybe you should buy a lottery ticket while you luck is running hot!!!

Sorry to rub it in, but they gave away two Plasma's and a 27" TV and a bunch of gift certificates. The people in my office got a $300 GC for Outback, $250 GC for Nordstrom, 4 Maine Lobsters and a Spa Basket. They really know who to throw a party

I am going to finish up my shopping this weekend. I was done but we have a bunch of secret santa's in my office plus I have a 5 yr old boy I picked off of the Salvation Army Angel tree. I will be done by Sunday, so I can start wrapping and shipping.

Sorry so many of you are having such horrible weather. It has finally gotten a little warmer here. It's in the 60's right now and might go down to the 50's by this weekend.

Kathy, the launch was cancelled, starting again saturday at 8:30-ish. Bummer, but at least it'll still be night.

Did you see the M*A*S*H episode a couple of nights ago with the missle that taunts the camp? I love that episode!!!

Josh, trust me to us it's cold...just not 6 degrees in the sun cold I have to say Vegas is very into it's holidays. All the casinos are decorated and the malls have been decorated since September so it definitly has a Christmas feel.

Morning all,

Josh, I will be watching and hopeing the shuttle goes up tonight. If not I gues there is always tomarrow night. So far it is clear an sunny,about 45 degrees ay my house.
We still need to get our tree up ths weekend. I was waiting until we all were feeling better because we always decorate it as a family. I hope to do that later today since all 3 of us are feeling better, although the colds are still with us.

I need to get something for the stockings and then I am done with my shopping!! YEAH!!! I iwll hopefully do that on Monday morning.

I do have things for Minnie's stocking and Poncho's. Poncho is my oldest sons dog and they will be coming to spend the night with us at Christmas, so I fixed him a stocking too. Now I need to do the peoples stockings.



Well everyone, not much else going on here today.
do any of you guys fix a Christmas stocking for your pets?? or am I the only mommy out here???

I also bought Minnie 5 presents. more than I bought for my Dh or kids guess you know who is important huh??

Kathy....sure hope you feel better. Maybe you better take a few days and just relax and have the hammer wait on you hand and foot. You'll get over that cold quicker.

Its still cold here....single digits last night....
A lot of you from the north can sympathize with me on this. Opening the front door to snow and seeing that the paper deliverer has missed his/her mark and the paper is about 20 feet from the door. If they were trying to hit the verandah---the paper would be in the ocean!!!

Anyways....just wanted to check in.
Btw....I've only met a couple of people from this board so far....who else is here???? Everyone needs to get a friendly sniff from the mutt...c'mon.
