I started packing yesterday - i need to print out the packing list, but it is long - not sure if i will or not. I pulled out all the outfits for the girls and obviously am already overpacked. Yikes!

They of course want a say so, so wish me luck today!

Good morning Nana Heads

Robin, I looked thru my e-mails but I didn't see one where you talked about a theme song. Sorry.

OK, so here are my ultimate Cruise-Inspiring Songs
1. Iron Man, Black Sabbath
2. Ace of Spades, Motorhead (isn't Lemmy dreamy?)
3. Enter Sandman, Metallica
4. Hells Bells, AC/DC
5. Everybody Wang Chung Tonight, Wang Chung

OK, I'm just very sleepily amusing myself :rotfl2:. I'll come back and make a serious list after I've had some coffee ... :surfweb:

GOOD MORNING, NANA NATION!:surfweb:

:teacher: You know, I really get WHY they think that no one should travel during school, but here's the deal...either the kids will make up work, or they won't. Our group wouldn't pull out kids if we thought they wouldn't hold up their end of the deal. Parents pay and create a lifetime of memories; our kids bust a move on their work. WE KNOW THEY WILL BE BEHIND...but it's worth it for our families.:grouphug:

'Nuff said. As stated previously, folks who don't have the magic will never understand. And, we don't care. NANA NANA boo boo.
Isn't it hilarious to try to explain the Nanaheads and our Dis addiction? It will be SO nice to be with people who truly get it.  :tink:

Bottom line: "Wish upon a star and live the life you imagined." :woohoo: I must need more coffee..I'm getting preachy!

Love ya, mean it!

Mary Kate (with the cutest little swirly over the T)

PS...Ashley, are you awake??? Call your sistah.

You know my boys are always AHEAD! They do ALL the work the teachers give them and when they get back, the teachers are either not there yet or have completely skipped what they've given the boys. I always make sure they are way ahead of the game before we even leave. They've come back with A's on all the tests they've made up!

Good Morning All!

They say last sunny day for Michigan for awhile. Don't worry, Florida here we come!

Wow Robin it sounds like you know St. Thomas really well! I asked the boys if they wanted to go to Magens Bay or go on the tour that we already have planned. They still wanted to take the tour since we've never been.

Have a great Saturday everyone.

Oh, in answer to the today's question. Sorry, I really don't listen to much music. I prefer peace and quiet when the boys aren't home!

Dawn

Good morning everyone,
I am finally on line for a bit.
I made french toast this morning so it took me a bit longer to get to the computer.

In reading back I think Brantley asked if anyone did anything to their bags besides the tags to recognise them at debarkation.
Yes I do. They try to put the bags in order of the rooms and they are in speific areas according to your rooms, such as you will be given a new tag to put on them before they are taken away the night before. Each area will have a different character on their tags.

so if you had Donald Duck you will look for the Donald Duck area which will also have room numbers marked . Each area tries to put the bags together and in order but sometimes that just doesnt happen.

I bought some red florescent tape in the automotive store and put across the top of our bags, they really stand out, also easier to find at the airport.

we have also taken disney bags we had souvenirs in and tied them to the handles to find them, that worked great too.

Never lock your bags because they will open some bags to do a random check sometimes and if it is locked they will break the lock. Just like the airport.

Ok, now for the question of the day.

I am terrible at names of songs, so this is hard.

Walking on Sunshine ( often played at the sail away party)
Margaritaville Jimmy Buffet
I wanna soak up the sun ( played at sail away party)
I'm a believer from Shrek ( played at sail away party often)

I know there are more but I will have to think about it some.

Kathy

Take my wife, please.....

I happen to have a compilation 2 cd set that I made up.... some of you may have heard of it....I'll make extra copies if anyone wants them...
mostly Harry Belafonte, the castaway club cd with the DCL music and THE HORN (great to torment people from work as you drive away---play it loud, they curse, they spit...the jealousy is palpable)...Jimmy Buffett, and a few odd men out...
Bobby Darrin is still my favorite to start it off....Beyond the Sea....(although Lemmy does a great version of that....hi goofy wife:wave2:)

bbl....going for a very chilly run...ugh...someone stop me...please?

:confused3 Why is that not a serious list, except for number 5 of course :confused3

Actually, 1-4 would probably be good for our drive down. We are leaving out, probably between 3-4 pm after a great big Thanksgiving dinner. So instead of the long after dinner nap I will be driving to Orlando!!!!

I won't tell you about the 5 cd's of favorite disney songs from all of the movies, the "official" cd from the "where the party never ends" from 2005 and of course, my cd I burned which includes the entire Wishes show and the complete Monorail Loop.....yep, I've got it pretty bad:)

....speaking of music....(I cant believe the wife hasn't mentioned it)---I do a short version of Goofy singing All Along the Watchtower by Jimmy Hendrix, its not so bad. Its retired now so NO requests!

Don't do it!!!!!!!! Running is very dangerous to your health. You know, the whole thing about some fat guy with a hangover might drop his cigarette and run off the road.......

Sounds like a really cool CD. Castaway Club CD mmmm!

OK, me again, complete with coffee. (Whassamatter Brantley? Have you never Wang Chunged tonight?:lmao: )

The ultimate get-you-in-the-mood-for-crusin' song:Changes in Latitudes, Changes in Attitudes, Jimmy Buffet!

Me and Mutt were having a Manly conversation there......No respectable dude can admit to Wang Chunging...:lmao:

Hey, nanas, just got home...school dance. Last night was Sarah's ballgame, so I have A LOT of catching up to do. Magen's is one of the caribbean's top ten beaches, especially if you go early before the crowds. This is a great area for kids because it's in a cove and you won't have waves...which makes for safer play and nicer snorkling...go to the left (looking at the sea) as far as you can for the best area. Not a lot of water sports...they have sunfish, kayaks, floats, and snorkeling.

I ADORE THE BEACH BAR (starts serving at 9 AM), and always belly up with a few Bushwackers that taste like milkshakes but have about nine liquors in them. Locals love Painkillers... you will, too. Both drinks are served with fresh nutmeg, but I prefer them without.

Breakfast is good, but I LOVE the grilled cheese sandwiches and fries. Pizza and burgers are good, too. Take a cheap taxi or open air taxi for a few great hours at a gorgeous beach lined with palms. Locals love this beach...you always see them cooking out under one of the picnic shelters. We've also seen a few weddings. My friend Joy hooked me on this beach. Bikini clad girls and handome college boys serve you drinks in the sand or in the sea.

Coconut Joy is this old Rasta Man who climbs coconut trees and sells the coconuts. I also like the gift shop where you can rent anything you need. Super cute tees, especially for kids, and upscale resort wear, too.

Havensight is where we usually dock and the shops there are reputable...you can buy anything you would see in town and avoid the crowds. If you do go into Charlotte Amalie, get your picture taken on the back of Oprah the donkey. If you go on the ferry in Red Hook, stop into Duffy's Love Shack for burgers and drinks. Kenny Chesney always wears a Duffy's tie dye shirt if you've seen his videos. Marina Market is a reputable grocery store. Be sure to say, "Good Morning" or "Good Afternoon" before addressing locals. They will NOT wait on you nicely if they see you as a rude landlubber. If you get to KMart, I'm not kidding, they have super liquor prices, but everywhere booze is cheap.

Thanks Robin!

Ok, off to do some running (not running like mutt, but chores!!) Cierrah's birthday is Monday so she is having a party today. Pizza, cake, and then everyone is going to see the Bee Movie!!!!

Hope everyone has a great day. See you after while!!!!

Okay. It's really quiet here because DH & Alex are gone and Jackson is in bed. So I'm going to "pull a Brantley" and post the question of the day for tomorrow now.

Here it is:

On my ipod I have a tropical playlist with songs that remind me of our cruise. What songs get you in the mood for our Disney Cruise? I will start the list with a few of mine, then everyone copy and paste and add theirs to the bottom of the list. When we are done we will have our own Nanahead Playlist.

1. Under the Sea, Samuel E. Wright (The little mermaid)
2. Shake Senora (Jump in the Line), The CalypsoNuts
3. Red Red Wine, UB40
4. A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes, Kimberly Locke

Great List Melanie. As annoying a song as was ever made, but it just really reminds me of the cruise so we love it - the Hamster Dance! :lmao:
