11/24/07 We are Better Than Leftovers!!! Nana Head reunion Part 3

My first thought is just drink non-stop!:lmao: :lmao:

Seriously, I'm going to bring some non-drowsy Dramine or whatever they have onboard. I think I'll take it a day or two ahead of time to acclimate (and to see how it reacts with alcohol!!!!!).

I'm going to look for ginger chews and maybe bring or prepare to order ginger ale. I'll also bring my disgusting Ginger Tea.

Last year, only the first night got me (many people say it's because we were crossing the Gulf Stream). The other times I crossed the GS I didn't get sick -- must be an age thing. . .:confused3 :confused3

For those who read my "while it was happening" first cruise report from the DCL we did last August, you'll remember that I made the mistake of taking Bonine on the first day as a precaution because everyone told me it was harmless and it made me 1) sleepy and 2) really sick. Once I stopped taking it, I felt the motion of the ship but nothing that stopped me from doing anything I wanted to do. The Bonine made me miss almost 2 1/2 days of the trip sleeping or being miserable. So now I take nothing. I made it through those high seas last year after STT, so I'm pretty confident I'll be okay again.

Oh yes, I meant to ask, is anyone making Nanahead door signs like the tees? I am up to ordering one if this is possible... don't know where to find the logo-
LOVE IT!!!
night!
Ashley(judy)

I am really interested in doing this too...I would love to order a magnet of the nanahead logo...

Judy-Thanks for the info on the bags........I'm sure the ones I have are the vacuum kind. What size do you bring? The carry on or full size?

Jaime-Do you have a Party City? They have Lady Pirate costumes that don't show too much.

No party city...maybe I'll check online...

If the designer loaded the tshirt design up to zazzle.com, I think they make magnets, stickers etc

No party city
OMG, how do you live without a Party City? Too bad they don't franchise.............

Very busy day today, I couldn't even catch up on all the posts the last time I logged on. You guys are so chatty.

I guess since the Bonine made Jeff sick; I'll either do nothing or try Cheri's theory. I mean if I'm already swaying when I board, maybe I won't notice when we start moving:lmao:

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAWN!!!! Just think, you'll be old enough to drink on the ship now.:thumbsup2

Mel-Out of town guests is really not a good excuse to leave the Nanas hanging..................we were worried:rotfl:

Hi Kim :wave2: Hi Jeff :wave2: Hi Judy :wave2: Hi Robin :wave2: Hi Mel :wave2: Hi Bill :wave2: Hi Jaime :wave2: Hi Kathy :wave 2: Hi Jen :wave2: Hi Christine :wave2: Hi Brantley :wave2: Hi Dawn :wave2: Hi Tonya :wave2: Hi Wendy :wave2: Hi Josh :wave2: Hi Okie :wave2: Hi anyone else I unfortunately forgot after 2 glasses of wine!:rotfl2: (Rehab isn't sticking as well as I thought. . .:lmao: )

Hello, nanas! Sunday nights always make me feel like a kid dreading to go back to school on Monday. Ever feel that way?

Judy was right...great musical and fun riverfront eating (again). So, I'm allergic to seafood, especially shellfish. I should have known that they would fry the chicken tenders with the seafood. Itchy mouth and eyes. No matter what, don't allow me to start drinking and try "just one bite." I love shellfish, especially lobster, all things shrimp, and crablegs. It's been over 20 years since I landed in the hospital and I still think about fried shrimp and lobster dripping in butter. It doesn't bother me to see others eating, though. I'll be the one on the floor whining...just kidding. :rotfl:

Of course, I'm obsessive like that. I quit smoking 25 years ago and still want one after every meal and whenever I drink. So, that's all the time, basically. Sarah's asthma and DH's no smoking dealbreaker keep me clean. So who has a menthol????? Did I say that out loud?:lmao:

Waxing, Paris? That's hot.:thumbsup2

Lindsey, I TOTALLY forgot that you were out of rehab. Quick, hide...here comes the wine police. Switch to liquor!:lmao:

Christine, you waxing fool. ;) One of my teachers told me about the time she had EVERYTHING waxed. I just want to ask who wakes up in the morning and says, "I think I'll rip the hair out of someone's crack today!"

I'm just sayin'.

For every terrible job, there's someone willing to do it. And thank God for the waxers ... :lmao:

That's really scary, coming from someone who would LOVE to quit. I can't believe that "want" is always there.

I know...smoke usually stinks when it's on someone else, but when you want one...it's tough. I quit by chewing sugarless gum all the time. I should own stock in the Freedent company!

BTW, how's the hair today?

I'm getting used to it. It's just darker than I would like, but we always have to overcompensate the red tones because my hair doesn't hold red very well. So give it a week and it will look just fine.

And I have another appt on 11/17 so we can fix it :lmao:

Sorry for misleading you but I don't go that far with the waxing. Only bikini...however I do have a deal with my DH, I will get everything waxed if he gets his back waxed:scared1:

I hear ya on the red tones...my hairdresser tells me that it's the toughest color to hold. As I said yesterday, my gray will be back by the cruise. I figure we'll all be to tanked to notice.:lmao:

:cool1: :cool1: I'm going to Disneyland:cool1: :cool1:

I just couldn't wait until next month for my disney fix. I just made reservations for Oct 27. Disneyland is all decked out for Halloween. I can't wait

By the way...Bonine makes me sick and sleepy too. I took it the last night of the cruise and couldn't function the entire next day. I will be leaving that off my packing list.

I swear that if you keep your belly full, but not over full (like I can do that), you'll feel better. DH was a sick dog and I just kept eating...no problems.

Bonine works for our family...

Hi all, just got back from work. Mom is still in Poconos (I never told ya?!?) and now here I am doing Psychology work. Brain is coloured, but still need to label. :headache:
