Great pictures everyone...I'd post my pictures from the 80's but I'm afraid I'll make you all feel too old:rotfl2:

Jeff...what is this about the terrible towel...

Anyway...off to bed for me...it's been a very long day...it's late here and I'm doped up on cough med's:goodvibes really wish I was all better and relaxing on the ship:love:

Have a great evening everyone!

If you ever watch a Pittsburgh Steelers' football game, you will see people twirling yellow towels. That is the Terrible Towel. It was probably the first "official" towel waved at a sporting event way back in the 70s. Of course today every team has towels of one color or another but this is the original. As Shell is a fan of the Steelers' chief rival - well they'd be a rival if they ever won a game -- Cleveland Browns..she doesn't want to see the towel.

:woohoo: :woohoo: Tttthhhhheeee YANKEES Win:woohoo: :woohoo: That's how we do it in the Bronx :woohoo: :woohoo:

PS: OMG I loved Stiff Stuff...much better than Aquanet. I always heard it had crazy glue in it.

Shell, they say about 2-3 weeks, but it might take longer... I've decided to go to either Penn State, Gettysburg College, Rensselaer, and I'm going out on a tangent to say University of Florida. Jeff, you may have noticed that I didnt say University of Pitt. That's correct, I've had to 'X' that off my list, they dont have the correct engineering course I'm looking for...

Everyone I have tallied up the numbers, and I beleieve that we need to average 36 posts per day to reach 10000 by the 22nd (Thanksgiving day) :scared:

Someone check my numbers please.

- Josh

Hi Josh -

My husband is an engineer, and when he was looking at schools, he considered University of Florida too...have you looked at the Colorado School of Mines or perhaps Harvey Mudd? Not sure what kind of engineering program you are looking for, but I'm sure Devin (he is a materials/metalurgical engineer) would be more than happy to share any information he can - all of his friends are in different engineering fields as well - hmmm...shocking. :lmao: BTW, good luck on your SAT's!!

Jen

Okay now I get it...can't say we watch much football...as Kim is the first to point out:goodvibes ...Hockey is our game!

OK, in an attempt to out "do" Christine (which, honestly, I don't think I can), here are a few choice photos:

The Marching Band years (Wish I had that hat for formal night) ...
Band.jpg

And my mullet ... or at least the BIG CURLY version of it (in my dorm room at Kent State ... I must have wanted Mom and Dad to see this photo as you can see there's an open book in the background, which would have never happened normally :rolleyes1 ):

:lmao: :rotfl2: WOW are you stylin' or what!?!:lmao: :rotfl2:

Okay, I have a list of all the colleges that have degrees for Nuclear Engineering. GIT, Gettysburg, Idaho State, MIT, NCU, Oregon State, Penn State, Purdue, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, SCU, Texas A&M, U.S. Military Academy, University of California: Berkeley, University of Cincinnati, University of Florida, University of Illinois, University of Michigan, University of New Mexico, University of Tennessee, University of Utah, University of Wisconsin. There you have it. No other colleges or universities in the United States have the Nuclear Engineering program. :lmao:

= Josh

And mommy and daddy are in a panic on how the heck we can afford some of these schools....:scared1:

Jaimie-thanks for the info on saltmeat.....interesting:scared: Mom is status quo and my dad gets out from rehab today...will keep you updated.

Christine-did you ever watch saved by the bell??? In you prom picture you look like one of the girls on that show--I think she played Mario Lopez's girlfriend :thumbsup2

I must did up my '80's pictures...but I know I didn't get the height in my hair that some of you girls did....dang! :rotfl2:

Have a good one....

Okie-I hope things will continue to get better for you so you won't have so much on your plate for the cruise..............

Good morning!

The pictures are great Wendy! Maybe you could bring that Mardi Gras get-up for formal night!:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

I'll see what I can dig out and scan in the next couple days. (I never did get into the really big hair thing, but I did have a lot of perms!)

Today is supposedly our last day of nice weather for a while.:scared1: I guess all good things must come to an end.

Just to show what a running nerd I am, I was tracking a few runners I know as they ran the Chicago Marathon yesterday (they update the runners' progress as they go by various checkpoints). I was also listening to it on the radio.:sad2: Although times were slow because of the heat, both finishes were VERY close -- something that doesn't normally happen in such a long race.

No school for Jess today, but I think she's going to her aunt's to help decorate for Halloween and hang out -- that means I can go shopping -- I have an extra 30% off at Kohl's that expires today. . .

Have a good one!:yay: :yay: :yay:

Hi Britney -- I saw another picture of you on a supermarket tabloid -- you're really lettin' yourself go, GF. . .

I still  you, but let's try to pull it together for the cruise, ok????:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Good Morning everyone!

The WHOLE family was over for dinner last night. My oldest daughter talked me into making homemade mac and cheese and tuna fish salad for supper. I had already made a fruit cocktail cake. EVERYONE found out what I was making and wanted to come! Make it and they will come...
In other words, I didn't make it on to the boards.

Now it's quiet, the boys at school, Alexis is too hot to be wandering around. We are suppose to break all the heat records today. Predicted to maybe reach 90 degrees on October 8th! The humidity is with it too. Wish I had left the pool open.

Will check back later. Have a good week everyone! Dawn

:banana::banana::banana::banana::banana:

Blah, blah blah!!! It's not that hard ... don't even try to wimp out like Cheri! You'll figure it out and get it posted!!!! :lmao:

:lmao:

If I can find some I'll have to bring them in tomorrow and scan them...

I still you, but let's try to pull it together for the cruise, ok????

Hey, I'm just trying to stay out of rehab until the cruise.............
