Oh Sharon! You know what! I killed a HUGE spider in our basement this past weekend. I usually am not scared of spiders but I was of this one. It was about the size of a 50 cent piece.:scared1:

Nightmares!! I think I would have fainted.
I reached for my toothbrush Thursday evening and found one of those yellowish-clear spiders sitting on the bristles. :scared1: :scared1: That's when I declared war and called the bug guy.

We get those too! But this one was big and black!! Ack! And fast. I hate it when they're fast...

My name is Tequila sometimes too...:lmao:

:rotfl: Gotta tell you. She is a very sweet girl - a student at Pitt in elementary education or early childcare program -- but all I could th ink when hearing her name was "were her parents so unimaginative that they thought 'well...we were drinkin tequila that night'..."

Ah, so that's where the name Brandy came from ...

Speaking of bugs. Our local infestation is of little teeny fruitflies and I think they are just here because of the hot weather - confused becuase they should be dead by now..killed by the frost. But you can't leave any food out...or have any crumbs or they swarm. I had a glass of wine on Friday night and had to hold my hand over the top and they were all over me. We scanned the internet and found a solution - long necked plastic bottle like a water bottle filled about 1/8th of the way with white vinegar and add 3 or 4 drops of dishwashing liquid. Sure enough...they all go there and die. I am so torn loving the hot weather but hoping for a frost to kill these guys so we don't have to keep all our fruit in the fridge anymore. Ice cold bananas are not very good. (unless covered in chocolate of course).

Jeff, just slip there a few bucks and they'll do whatever you ask :lmao:

I was actually PG with Jackson when my boss lady took me & a coworker on a reward trip to Las Vegas. BUT I didn't know it yet.

His first name should be "Jager" and his second should be "Bomb"...:rotfl:

No Thank you!!! I could never live in Florida. My sister lived there for a while and she had poisonous snakes in her backyard!

Yep, go those too!!

Minnie has killed and burried a few young Boas in our back yard.
Greg has seen lots of rattle snakes in the yard and a few pygmy rattlers.

Our Vet lives just around the corner near the lake and he has water mocassins in his yard all the time.

I started to get the mail one day and when I opened the door there was a big black snake all coiled up on my porch. When he slithered off he was about 5 to 6 feet long:scared1:

sometimes you will see a large snake sunning himself and he will stretch completely across the road from one side to the other. Usually a rattle snake.

Peter pick up the pool skimmer last week and a scorpion fell out the end of it.

you have to be on your toes around here. I have found those scorpions in the master bath a couple of times!!:scared:

we dont get much company:lmao:

EW EW EW EW EW!!!

Gosh, I hate scorpions. We find at least 2 in our house a month. I know they won't kill us but I am worried about the dogs. We have an exterminator but there is nothing you can do about scorpions. They live in the palm trees.

Just got back from library time with Elizabeth and errands. It is hot. It is 89 degrees. It will probably go above 90 degrees.

Thanks Bill for sharing your SeaSafe might just take you up on it. Did find some Ginger Chews at the health food store. Have not seen the motion eze. I would like to try anything that's natural first and hopefully nothing at all! My strategy is to take it all and MOST of the time don't need; but sure as I don't bring it, I need it!

Gotta run. Now it's time to start getting the boys. Will try to check in later.
Dawn
:banana::banana::banana::banana::banana:Are we still counting these?

Kinda ironic that that's where all the older people go to retire huh!:lmao:

Shell, are you SURE you want to leave the cold weather states?

Dawn,
I would guess this might be your last day of hot. Last night the cold front here and it's really quite pleasant. Supposed to have a high of 71 today.

Have you been sea sick before? We were so worried about DH (as he tends to have problems taking photos from airplanes.) but he has had no problems at all on our last 2 cruises. KNOCK on wood!!!
