....................... I KNOW ....................... YOUR WELCOME[/QUOTE]

Josh,
I don't know whether to thankyou to smack you for all those bananas. :lmao:
Have you tried counting moving bananas??

between you, your dad and Bill I now have google eyes!!!

Morning all,
Looks like another HOT one today. The dogs are both napping so it is nice and quiet for now.
Tomarrow morning we take our family to the airport to leave. I kept thinking it was saturday but they leave friday:sad1:

Has everyone noticed how ALIVE this thread has become the past couple of weeks? We have really come alive here. I love it!!

Not a lot going on today, I am thinking about making a taco pizza for dinner tonight.

Anybody got plans for the weekend??
I plan on putting my house back together and getting to Petco to give the dogs a much needed bath!!

I'm an Office Manager for some local construction firms and yesterday was BILLING DAY:scared1: :scared1: so no luck posting, but I was keeping up....:surfweb:

I'll wear my T-Shirt over my dress and then to the meet. I think it's important for you to know now that I'm a "Type A" and those matching outfits for our embarkation photo are already played out in my tiny little brain:upsidedow Can't wait to meet everyone.

So, since I'm taking the DCL Bus, what is the worst case scenario for arrival time? Everyone says it gets there later than they would like and I would like to know HOW much later :confused3 It's not possible I would miss the DIS meet is it?:scared:

More importanty:rolleyes1 what's the situation with the booze? Do any of you bother with bringing them? Since I plan on meeting on Deck 9 with my fellow Nanas from time to time, does anyone want to "share drinks"? I personally love Malibu Rum, it goes with and in anything......   Perhaps someone else I know would like to bring Mojito fixings?

By the way, just before someone else mentions it............I know it's only 8 in the morning, but it IS 5 o'clock somewhere:lmao:

Sorry, Kathy, but my dad posted those, not me. I'm beginning to believe that telling him bout those bananas wasnt such a good idea...
Here's some REGULAR bananas for you:

Dont forget to get booze for the kids! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:
Just so you know, they have about five bars on the ship, two of which are on deck nine. (I'm not sure if you knew that.)

First off..there are a lot better ways to hear that accent than on Rachel the grouch.

Second, I'm a big college football fan so let's set up a gamewatch in the bar in the Hyatt lobby. They had lots of tvs in the bar, if I remember and I'll cheer for the Huskers. I like the amazing support that team gets!

I just checked the game time -- right now it's set for 12:00 EST on ABC. Now I'm thinking it's a good thing our flight is getting in early!!

It is truly amazing how the entire state of Nebraska rallies around Husker football. As Melanie can probably attest, almost everywhere you go on Saturdays, everyone is wearing red! We don't have that here in Illinois -- too many college and pro teams competing for people's attention.

Oh brother...someone just became Shells best buddy.....

Mornin everyone....not a lot going on here and I haven't figured out a way to antaganize the nanaheads today (yet) so I'll just say...g'mornin!

pluto:

I just saw an article (and video clip) about a guy from Nebraska who's up in the International Space Station with with big Husker flag!! (and he has a tiny ISU pennant:sad2: )

Oh, I think you've struck a cord with some of your new best banana headed friends!   I know Cheri & Bill brought their own stash on last year, as did a couple others. Cheri, how'd that work out?

It worked out quite well!!:thumbsup2 We brought a bottle of Bacardi so DH could have Bacardi & Cokes. I also brought a bit-o-wine for a pre-dinner beverage. We just brought the stuff in our day bag. (I had packed everything in Ziplocs & bubble wrap for the flight.) Luckily our day bag has wheels!!

Unless someone has a great mojito recipe (Mutt?? Ours still needs some tweaking. . .), I may just buy my mojitos on board. If I work overtime in the coal room, they may give me a couple free drinks!!!:lmao: :lmao:

Ahh, wake up and talk about a drink... my kinda wakeup call!!!!
Robin and I always bring our own drinks! I am a margarita girl and she loves Royal Crown and Coke. We buy a drink at the sailawayparty in a cute hurricane glass- for drinking and memories after the cruise, then just fill it up with our own! Since we drive, there isn't much worry, but it saves lots of money and is just what we want.

sorry Cheri, Woo is the mojito gal. I have a few margarita recipes I like a lot and the others mentioned but mojitos aren't my favorite (dont strike me dead for that---variety is the spice of life).

I have found it hard to consistently get a great mojito. One of the last ones I ordered had more mint than anything. I thought I was drinking cat nip!!:scared1: :rotfl2:

I feel proud knowing I was there for Shell's very first mojito!:drinking1
:jumping1: :jumping1: :jumping1:

Just TALKING about drinks seems to relax you guys...........This is going to be the greatest cruise EVER. Whatever you guys bring, just know I'll be happy to share my Malibu:woohoo: Being from Va Beach, I keep a stash of it right next to my bottled water in case of a hurricane:rotfl: You won't catch me off guard, no sir. Generators are great, but I say bring on the booze........

If any of you guys are wine drinkers, consider bringing a bottle of regional wine. I know PA has plenty because I just brought home two BOXES of regional PA wine from Lancaster:banana:   We could have our own little wine tasting.......As a matter of fact for any of you guys that participate, I'll bring a little VA wine souvenir fer ya'

Also, we ALWAYS bring out the karaoke machine after a long day at the pool..................:lmao: We think we sound AWESOME:woohoo: Can't wait for that night.

Hoping to get a chance to lay out my itinerary today. Definitely want to do the Art of Entertaining. My DH and I are very competitive and so we're also looking forward to the contests and such. I know, I know........go ahead and FRY us, but at least I warned you :rolleyes1
