WOW! I actually beat Kathy here! Good morning all! Wanted to pop in before heading to work.

Morning all,
yes Holly you beat me.
we went to the airport to get kids at midnight last night.
Their plane was 45 minutes late, then they stopped us for 30 minutes at 2 a.m. for construction but we finally got home about 3 a.m. at which time Greg and i headed right for bed while others had a snack.
But puppy is use to getting up early to GO. So by 6:30 I was up with her.
Not wuite 3 hours sleep for both of us.

Poor Greg has to work today, luckily he doesnt have to be to work early but he is still tired. but it is worth it to have them here.

Holly, that would be a shark attack drink that Shell and I became quite fond of, not to mention our boytoy bartender JP (not PJ Shell)
They fill the body part of the shark with grenadine and pour it in your drink over a plastic alligator so your drink looks all bloody. Trust me after one of these its VERY entertaining to see.

Maybe we need to bring some sharks & alligators on the cruise so the rest of us can imbibe! Shell, Bill, Wendy? Who remembers the recipe????

Okay, I have to ask. What kind of drink gets served with a rubber shark in it?

Its called a shark attack, Bob...and from seeing my wife after having one....the name fits perfectly.

Cheri....you have to see the place to understand. They guard the recipes with their lives. The hand grenade is trademarked and they sell the mix at the bar and online. I did a lil experimentation and have a really close approximation to it, though. I will share that so EVERYONE gets a lovely taste of our debochery (my po head still hurts).

Some of 'em are a little scary for sure...but it looks like you had a blast!

Another night another swim meet another storm. But this time they stuck it out and got most of the meet in. Elizabeth got to swim in all 3 of her events. And she got to swim in an individual 25m freestyle event too - and she won her heat!

But the funniest was the freestyle relay she was in. There are so many kids on the team that they have to to "alternate" heats sometimes and while there were supposed to be 4 alternate relay teams in her heat, due to people not showing up because of the storm, only one team went off. So there are these four little girls (aged 6-8) swimming alone in the pool with the whole world watching them. The first girl kept turning back and looking at the starter after she went off and it took her a good minute and a half to swim the 25 meters... the second girl forgot to jump in when the first touched - dont know where the parent volunteer who was supposed to tell her to get in was -- but with her late start, I'd say about a 2 1/2 minute length of the pool. Elizabeth was next and did her length in about 28 seconds adn then the fourth girl who was the youngest. I felt bad for the kids being all alone out there, but they all got a big round of applause. Dont 'know the final results, but the Sharks were losing with just a few events to go. S'ok - they still had fun!

Happy Wednesday everyone. One week from today and I'm on a LOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG plane ride to paradise.

Hmmmmm.......I think I'll be nice and help Mutt out. I'm feeling pretty "posty". He can repay me by bringing a cake to Lansing. Preferably one that looks like the Magic. And Shell can bring the recipe for Shark Attacks!

At the birthday party of our hosts' daughter, they had a balloon guy come and he made cute balloon hats for everybody. Tyler asked for a crown, so here's King Tyler:

Later that evening, we went to the beach for a bit. This is one of my favorite pics of Tyler and I together. We don't have very many, since everywhere we go, it's usually just the two of us and I hate bugging people to take our picture. So here's a great one:

Day 3 - Sea World:

Here's Tyler and his "Florida girlfriend" in the Wild Arctic:

Journey to Atlantis ride. Tyler and I are in the front row. This was his first water ride ever and he absolutely loved it! It was also his first non-kiddy rollercoaster ride:

He wanted to feed the sea lions SO BADLY until I bought their food and he saw what he'd actually be feeding them! He was NOT happy about grabbing a slimy dead fish!

All the fish he tossed never made it to any of the sea lions. He just couldn't throw it far enough, so the birds got them. But this is him trying to throw it into a hungry mouth:

I just had to add this one because it's so cute seeing the baby jumping with the big whales!
